    Bizarre scheduling continues
St. Louis had six days between games (last game was a week ago).

Philly had six days between games (Thursday and then played again a week later, Thursday).

The Blues have only played 7 games this season. Vancouver has played 12!

Was looking at the NHL stats and noticed the significant difference in GP...really don't understand why, but it could be a profitable angle to watch.

From my understanding, the schedule is computer generated. Teams give the NHL the days they cannot play in their arena, and then a sched is produced by a computer. Once the teams get that sched, they approve or not. So probably not intentional, just the way things turned out. Maybe the computers should be programmed to make sure such long delays between games do not happen.

But of course, I am only guessing.

It just doesn't make sense to me to schedule teams for such long breaks between games.

If they can't play at their arena for some reason, have a road game.
