I have a question that I hope someone way smarter than me would answer. What does normalized scoring statistics mean? I came across a site that listed all 120 division 1 college football teams current points scored and points allowed. On that same page, for all 120 teams, their "normalized" points scored and points allowed is listed. It's on this site: http://football.kislanko.com/2011/isovrank.html

Thank you for the reply. When I first looked at those stats I thought maybe it has something to do with a team's expected progression/regression rate relative to their current averages.Comment -
