    Spread Sheet
    Hey Guys,

I've been a long time tracker of my results by using a simple bankers book. I'm currently upgrading by making a spread sheet to track my bets. I currently keep track of the date, sport, the bet description, bankroll, unit price, units invested, result, profit/loss, overall percentage of wins and then current streak.

    My question is...

What other aspects do you guys keep track of?

Any information would be most appreciated.

To be honest, what's staked etc is all pointless. All that matters is the profit/loss at the end of the day

I keep track of what the book's number is, what my number is/what I think the number should be. Obviously I bet if this what I consider a significant difference.

What book the wager went to. This way you can sort by sportsbook account and easily audit your balance to see if they have what you have.

I can accept that to a degree but further analysis into my previous stats will tell me that I am more successful in NHL than I am NBA. I am better at NCAAF than I am NFL. The same applies to certain teams that I can/can't pick either for or against.

I'd rather have a detailed analysis of how I arrived at a certain P/L.

I like to look for things that affect my winning percentage. For example, I'll try to find out which day of the week is most profitable for me. Then you can optimize betting strategies accordingly.

If your serious about betting you need breakdowns of all betting categories.

keep track is a good idea, but very time consuming one would think.

I couldn't think of doing it any other way. Time consuming or not.
