    Downloading NCAA boxscores for Excel

I would like to have my own database for every FBS college football game. I haven't found a good way to download NCAA boxscores into excel on a Windows platform. Does anyone know a good site to do this from? Or any tricks of the trade. I am not especially computer savvy, yet I am not a moron either, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey, welcome -- I've been trying to get the same thing going for a while, haven't put it together completely -- I have a severe time shortage and keep get getting knocked off task. But I believe the info we need is right here in this forum in some recent posts

this is the sticky thread "introduction to research" about halfway down the third page UVA3021 starts giving some information about using excel to scrape data off the internet

also I found this thread helpful

    good luck!

Would you scrape into Access the same way you would into Excel?

I don't know the answer to that bookie, but at the very least I think it would be easy to import data into access once you had it in excel
