    Best way to structure bets?

Tomato is wondering what the best way to bet this would be.

    Arizona -1.5 +272
    Atlanta -1.5 +139

Would you bet both sides to win 1 unit, just letting the percentages play themselves

... or is there some middle ground?

If you have determined that playing both is +ev in the long run, I would adjust my wagers so that each side provided the same profit.
ie. .86 unit on +272 and 1.34 unit on +139 produces a 1 unit win regardless of which wager wins. Of course you lose 2.2 units if neither wager wins.

Tomato wants to know how you figured out .86 and 1.34.

Time for a math pop quiz!

I have a spreadsheet that I "programmed" to calculate amounts for my hedge wagering.

    1.16 unit @ +216 and 1.51 unit @ +143 for a 1 unit win if cashed.

Care to post the spreadsheet formulas?

Right now you're looking at half credit, which is an F. Get the A!

File attached. You input the odds on the top and bottom row and then adjust the top wager until your net is 1.00.

I don't use it that way. I use it for live wagering. I have a wager before the game which I input on the top row, odds and wager, and then I enter the odds on the second row to determine how much to wager at those odds if I choose to hedge.
