    Packers D or Patriots D?
I currently have Packers D but looking for something a little stronger. Is it a crapshoot dropping the Packers D to pick up the Pats? Would you do it?

But I would go Patriots instead of Packers.

No Bengals unfortunately. Here are the available D's

Raiders D/ST D/ST FA @Mia Sun 1:00 The Raiders should be able to limit the Dolphins and force rookie quarterback Ryan Tannehill into some more bad throws. Just beware that Miami has 395 rushing yards and 67 points versus Oakland over the past two seasons.

      7 --
Rams D/ST D/ST FA Wsh Sun 4:05 Although they eventually yielded a late touchdown to lose to Detroit, this defense did keep Matthew Stafford from doing what he normally does. As such, they might also keep RG3 from posting anywhere near the big numbers he had in his NFL debut.

      7 --
Chargers D/ST D/ST FA Ten Sun 4:25 Going against a quarterback in Jake Locker who might have "happy feet" due to a shoulder injury, this team should be able to shine in Week 2 against Tennessee.

      Tue, Sep 11

      6 --
Redskins D/ST D/ST FA @StL Sun 4:05 Caught up in a high-scoring affair in Week 1, Washington certainly won't be spread as thin against the Rams as they were versus New Orleans. Expect a far more respectable showing in Week 2.

      5 --
Browns D/ST D/ST FA @Cin Sun 1:00 The Browns forced five turnovers (should've been six) against the Eagles, but they haven't picked off a single Bengals pass in any of the past five meetings. Despite the Philly turnovers, Cleveland still allowed 456 total yards for the game. There are much better options than the Browns D for Week 2.

      4 --
Broncos D/ST D/ST FA @Atl Mon 8:30 Even though it seemed to be on the field for the entire second half, the Broncos defense kept Pittsburgh's offense in check and even added a "pick-six" for good measure. However, that was at home and at altitude. Let's see how they do at sea level against a competent Atlanta offense.

      Tue, Sep 11

      4 --
Packers D/ST D/ST WA (Wed) Chi Thu 8:20 The Packers have not allowed more than 21 points to the Bears in any of the past nine meetings, while forcing at least two turnovers in each of the past four matchups. But the way they looked in Week 1 ... you'd be safer starting another D.

      4 --
Colts D/ST D/ST FA Min Sun 1:00 Don't expect big things from the Colts against an Adrian Peterson-led Vikings offense on turf. In fact, there won't be many instances this season where the Indianapolis D/ST makes for a safe fantasy play.

      Tue, Sep 11

      4 --
Dolphins D/ST D/ST FA Oak Sun 1:00 For fantasy leagues that factor yards allowed more than turnovers created, Miami will usually be a strong D/ST option. For instance, the Dolphins, who finished sixth in scoring defense in 2011 (19.6 points per game), held the Texans to 83 yards on 35 carries in Week 1.

      Tue, Sep 11

      4 --
Jaguars D/ST D/ST FA Hou Sun 1:00 From Adrian Peterson to Arian Foster. This is not an easy start to the season for this defense, but at least we know it has to get better from here.

      Tue, Sep 11

      3 --
Titans D/ST D/ST FA @SD Sun 4:25 Tennessee isn't going to have to defend Tom Brady every week, and few teams will look impressive against New England. That said, with Ryan Mathews due back, there's a good chance San Diego puts the same kind of hurtin' on this unit in Week 2.

      Tue, Sep 11

      2 --
Saints D/ST D/ST FA @Car Sun 1:00 Robert Griffin III carved up this defense in his NFL debut. We shudder to think what Cam Newton might do to them, especially if the Panthers once again decide to abandon the run entirely.

      Tue, Sep 11

      2 --
Buccaneers D/ST D/ST FA @NYG Sun 1:00 Limiting Carolina at home is one thing, but it's a much harder task to stop Eli Manning and the Giants on the road. The young Bucs will struggle to keep New York out of the end zone Sunday.

      Tue, Sep 11

      1 --
Panthers D/ST D/ST FA NO Sun 1:00 New Orleans didn't play all that well in Week 1 and still scored 32 points and had 358 yards of total offense. No way we're starting any defense facing them in Week 2.

Packers schedule will be getting a lot easier after week 5 or so....but Patriots D should yield a steady output all year. I have Patriots D in a couple leagues and pretty happy w/ that.

San Diego looks to be a decent match up for week 2.

Cant' go wrong there really...both Packers and Pats D should be getting better as the season goes on as both are pretty young. Good luck.

if you're league is 12 teams or less and doesn't charge for transactions, then pull the trigger for the Pats
