Draft Advice for Unique Fantasy Scoring League
what would your draft strategy be in a league like this?

QB- 1 point every 50 yards passing. 6 points per passing touchdown, +3 if 10-40 yards, +6 if 40+ yards. Double points for rushing and receiving touchdowns (a 45 yard rushing TD from a QB would be worth 24 points)
RB- 1 point every 20 yards rushing and receiving. Same as above but double points for passing and receiving touchdowns
WR/TE- same as RB, except double points for rushing and passing touchdowns
KR- Kickoff return touchdowns are 24 points

Kickers- 3 points per field goal, +3 for 39-49 yards, +6 for 50+ yards (50 yard field goal is worth 9 points)

basically if your player scores a touchdown in a weird way you get double points. You also get points for touchdown yardage. A 10 yard touchdown is worth more than a 9 and a 41 yard touchdown is worth more than a 10 and 9 yard touchdown.

Look to draft the best receiving RBs....Sproles will be worth big points in this league. Rice big of course, Foster huge of course, Forte and Chris Johnson bigger because of receiving threat.

what about WR's? Should I target guys like DeSean Jackson who will score a lot of long touchdowns?

Maybe. I mean, there is slightly hidden value on guys who can score on kick returns too, which is why a guy like Sproles is really the picture perfect guy that will see a value increase because of your scoring settings. Guys who are decent at their position but also return kicks will be great later round additions that could make the difference in your league.

Again, also targeting RBs who excel in the receiving game will be key to your league it seems.

should I draft QB's early. last year, Matt Schaub and Phillip Rivers were 1st round picks because of how td heavy our league is. I went with Ray Rice and Darren McFadden first last year and waited on Stafford late

I feel like this year there is solid value on QBs later really. Matt Ryan will seemingly have a better year. Even Joe Flacco and the Ravens have run a lot of no huddle this pre-season...could be great value there too. I'd stick w/ the RBs first unless you are talking about Rodgers/Brees/Brady after the top 3-5 spots...then maybe go w/ QB in my opinion.

honestly I think Cam Newton is at least ON the elite level with Brady and Brees, behind Rodgers in our league. Every rushing TD for Newton is 12 points+ yardage if outside the 10. I feel comfortable with the 8-12 ranked QB's. I may even draft RG3 if I think he will score 4+ TD's on the ground
