What to do if league has 6pt Pass TDs & 25 yd pass pts???

That is how my money league is and I am definitely going QB first. The top quarterback last year had 529 points (Rodgers) while the top HB only had 307 points (Rice). 9 QBs outscored Rice in my league including Philip Rivers, Matt Ryan, and Tony Romo. If you can get a top flight QB I think you have no choice but to take one.

makes no difference to me, its about your team total points. Don't draft a qb in rd 1 unless one really fell.

The way I look at it. If a HB goes for 100 and a TD that's 16 points. A QB throws for 2 TDs and is only 2 point behide the HB not including yards.

Here are the settings:

Offense

Passing Yards:1 point per 25 yards
Passing Touchdowns:6 points
Interceptions Thrown:-2 points
300-399 Passing Yards Bonus:2 points
400+ Passing Yards Bonus:4 points
Rushing Yards:1 point per 10 yards
Rushing Touchdowns:6 points
100-199 Rushing Yards Bonus:2 points
200+ Rushing Yards Bonus:4 points
Receiving Yards:1 point per 10 yards
Receiving Touchdowns:6 points
100-199 Receiving Yards Bonus:2 points
200+ Receiving Yards Bonus:4 points
Fumble Recovered for TD:6 points
Fumbles Lost:-2 points
2-Point Conversions:2 points

Considering there's also a bonus for 300+ yards passing I think that I have to try anything I can to get a top tier QB!!!

I'd prefer a qb in the 1st round with these settings but I wouldn't take an otherwise 3rd, 4th or 5th round qb in round 1 ..but yeah, if I'm picking in the top 3 it would be a qb..

ARod, Brady, Brees are must draft if you have the chance. Otherwise, take a top RB early and see where the remaining QBs get drafted. A lot of people don't adjust their strategy to the scoring settings. Might be able to get Eli/Romo/Ryan in the 5th-6th round. Much better value for 6 pt passing TD than Cam/Vick in the first 3 rounds

Def agree with u rsnnh12, if I can't nab one of the big three then getting Ryan much later would be great value, looks like they are going to be pass heavy this season.
