Breaking News: Trent Richardson likely to have knee surgery
August 8, 2012
====================
** ESPN's Chris Mortensen reports that Browns RB Trent Richardson is "tentatively" expected to undergo arthroscopic surgery to "clean up a loose particle of cartilage" in his left knee. It's the same knee that Richardson had scoped back in February. It's been giving him trouble recently, and the surgery is considered "minor" and "proactive." Still, the procedure will put Richardson's availability for the season-opener in question -- not to mention costing him valuable training camp reps. That left knee will be a concern all year too, especially for a guy who's never handled the rigors of a 16-game NFL season.
