I like Hansen's stuff----he has a great show on Sirius/XM that kicked off this weekend.
For those of you who don't know him---he would fit in perfectly at SBR. He's a football junkie, and runs a site called FantasyGuru.com.
Anyway, I thought I would give you guys some of his opinions in case this interested some of you....
His discussion was about establishing a "Draft Plan", and forget what was conventional thinking just 2 years ago.
Running backs are being de-valued across the board. Once you get outside the very top of the picking list---quality drops off significantly.
Hansen names 3 RBs. Arian Foster, Ray Rice, and LeSean McCoy as absolute slam-dunks.
Hansen talked about depth and value in QBs in 2012 being very high, and he uses numbers to make his case, and it's pretty convincing.
In 2008, the top fantasy QB scored 358 points. Move ahead just 3 years, and the average fantasy point value of the Top 12 QBs is 348. Even more convincing is the fact that the Top 12 QBs of 2011, all topped the 2010 QB leader.
What does that mean? According to Hansen, you can get a Top 6-12 QB in the later rounds, and still get amazing value.
There is so much more, and I have the podcast downloaded into my iPod. I will add more if you guys are interested in this stuff.
