Broncos | Noah Fant working on route tree?
Denver Broncos TE Noah Fant needs to add some 'diversity to his route tree' by improving his short-to-intermediate routes, according to Jeff Legwold of ESPN.com.

Jaguars | DJ Chark here to stay?
Jacksonville Jaguars WR DJ Chark Jr. credits his success in 2019 to an improved commitment to preparation, and Mike DiRocco of ESPN.com believes Chark should deliver 1,000 receiving yards and eight to 10 touchdowns in 2020.

Steelers | Concerns for JuJu Smith-Schuster?
Pittsburgh Steelers WR JuJu Smith-Schuster had eight catches on 11 targets in the six quarters he played with QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) in 2019, and Brooke Pryor of ESPN believes Smith-Schuster needs another 'reliable offensive weapon' to be at his best.

Dolphins | Mike Gesicki to stay involved?
Miami Dolphins TE Mike Gesicki will likely be used as a slot receiver in sets featuring three or more receivers in offensive coordinator Chan Gailey's system, according to Cameron Wolfe of ESPN.com.

Bills | Devin Singletary to be featured?
Buffalo Bills RB Devin Singletary should see the 'majority' of the backfield touches in 2020, according to Marc Louis-Jacques of ESPN.com.

Patriots | Stephen Gostkowski could be cut loose
New England Patriots PK Stephen Gostkowski (hip) has one year remaining on his contract, but he is 36 years old and coming off hip surgery. Releasing him would free up nearly $3.5 million in salary cap space.

Colts | Not pursuing extension for Marlon Mack
Indianapolis Colts RB Marlon Mack is not in line for a contract extension at this time. '(Marlon), we love him, but we love the other two guys. We want him back and he wants to be back, really. There were some mis-reports that we were pursuing an extension there. That's not the case. I don't know where those came from,' team owner Jim Irsay said Sunday, Feb. 23.

Colts | Uncertain future for Adam Vinatieri
Indianapolis Colts PK Adam Vinatieri (knee), set to be an unrestricted free agent March 18, is undergoing rehab after surgery in December to repair a damaged meniscus and patellar tendon in his left knee. 'Adam knows how much I think of him. He's unbelievable. We'll see. He's in rehab mode now and we're in the middle of trying to put the team together,' owner Robert Irsay said Sunday, Feb. 23.

Colts | Indy keeping options open at QB
Indianapolis Colts QB Jacoby Brissett is a player on the rise, but the Colts will consider all options at quarterback this offseason, according to owner Jim Irsay.
Footballguys view: The Colts are in the market for an upgrade at the quarterback position. Brissett is okay as a starter, but the team could do better and they know it. Don't be surprised to see them in the hunt for someone like Philip Rivers on the open market. Colts head coach Frank Reich was Rivers' quarterback coach during the best seasons of his career with the Chargers.

Titans | Marcus Mariota not expected back
Tennessee Titans impending free-agent QB Marcus Mariota likely will not re-sign with the Titans this offseason, in the opinion of TitansOnline.com's Jim Wyatt.
Footballguys view: Zero surprise here. Mariota was benched last year in favor of Ryan Tannehill only to see the Titans make a playoff run. We'll see the former first-round pick try and find a home as a backup and quality reserve...like Tannehill was for the Titans in 2019. Perhaps a team like the Broncos would be interested in having a quarterback like Mariota behind starter Drew Lock.

      Tuesday Update

NFL | Three top QB prospects plan to throw
Oregon QB Justin Herbert, Utah State QB Jordan Love and Washington QB Jacob Eason all plan to throw at the NFL Scouting Combine.
      Link to story

Cowboys | No talks between DAL, Dak Prescott lately
Dallas Cowboys impending free-agent QB Dak Prescott's agent has not talked with the Cowboys about a long-term contract since September, according to vice president Stephen Jones. The two sides may meet at the NFL Scouting Combine, but nothing has been finalized.
      Link to story
      Dak Prescott player page

      NFL | Jacob Eason measurements
Washington QB Jacob Eason measured 6-foot-5 7/8, 231 pounds at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine. He also recorded a 9 1/2-inch hand measurement.
Footballguys view: Eason is one of the more polarizing quarterbacks in this draft class. Some see him as a first-round pick while others believe he's better going off the board in the mid rounds. Eason has size, but he does not respond to pressure well. In fact, some in the scouting community have compared his ability under duress to that of former Texans starter Brock Osweiler...and that's not a compliment. We'll see what Eason can do to improve his draft stock at the Combine.
      Link to story

NFL | Jordan Love measured at combine
Utah State QB Jordan Love measured 6-foot-3 3/4, 224 pounds at the 2020 NFL Scouting Combine. He also recorded a 10 1/2-inch hand measurement.
Footballguys view: Love is getting a lot of hype ..and for good reason. The Utah State quarterback had a good week of practice at the Senior Bowl earlier this year. He's an athletic prospect who can make plays with his arm or with his legs. Love should go off the board in the top 12 of the 2020 NFL draft.
      Link to story

NFL | Combine measurements for Tua Tagovailoa
Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa measured 6-foot, 217 pounds at the 2020 Scouting Combine. He also recorded a 10-inch hand measurement.
Footballguys view: Tagovailoa is one of the best quarterbacks in this draft class. His medical checks at the Combine will be the most important part of determining his draft position. If his hip checks out, Tagovailoa will fall no further than No.5 overall to the Dolphins. In fact, the Dolphins may move up to No.2 or No.3 in the draft just so they can secure his services.
      Link to story

      NFL | Justin Herbert measurements
Oregon QB Justin Herbert measured 6-foot-6 1/4, 236 pounds at the 2020 Scouting Combine. He also recorded a 10-inch hand measurement.
Footballguys view: Herbert is built like a prototypical quarterback and is looking like a top-10 pick in the 2020 NFL draft. He's in play for the No.1 overall pick but the Bengals should just go ahead and take Joe Burrow from LSU. Instead, Herbert may be more likely to land with the Chargers or the Panthers where he can be groomed as a potential franchise quarterback.
      Link to story

NFL | Joe Burrow measured at combine
Louisiana State QB Joe Burrow measured 6-foot-3 1/2, 221 pounds at the 2020 Scouting Combine. He also recorded a nine-inch hand measurement.
Footballguys view: Burrow's small hands may be a talking point for the sports radio crowd, but it's a non-issue to us. He's incredibly accurate and his pass-placement is uncanny. Burrow should be the No.1 overall pick to the Bengals in the 2020 NFL draft.
      Link to story

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger a few months away
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) said he has been cleared to start throwing a football but is still about two and a half to three months away from receiving full clearance.
Footballguys view: Roethlisberger has begun throwing but he's nowhere near ready. We imagine the Steelers will be very careful with the veteran quarterback this entire offseason. In fact, we might not see him do much of anything until the Steelers start training camp in the summer.

Eagles | Alshon Jeffery's agent denies report he wants out
Updating a previous report, the agent for Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery refuted a claim that his client would welcome a trade to another team.
Footballguys view: In a Twitter post Friday, Feb. 21, agent Tory Dandy wrote that Jeffery 'loves being in the city of Philly and playing for the Eagles.'

Jaguars | Jacksonville in no rush to name QB
Jacksonville Jaguars QBs Nick Foles and Gardner Minshew have not been given a timeline in terms of knowing when one or the other will be named the starting quarterback.'When do you make that decision? There's not really a date. It's not really going to happen until we start playing, in the preseason, because for me, at that position, one of the things that's important is that the players can see who the best player is. You have an obligation to everyone in that locker room that you're putting the best player out there,' Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone said.

'We did a 2-year deal with Jacoby to find out,' Ballard said at a press conference from the Scouting Combine. 'We like Jacoby Brissett. Love what he stands for. It was almost a tale of two seasons where we're 5-2, he's playing good football. He had the injury and we had injuries as a team and we kind of slid down. We did the short term deal to see what we had. To say we're going to create competition, we're going to create competition at any spot. That's going to be a year-to-year thing.'
