Titans | Ryan Tannehill switches agents
Tennessee Titans QB Ryan Tannehill, a pending free agent, has has dropped agent Patrick Dye in favor of Brian Aryault and Todd France, according to sources.
Footballguys view: You hire Todd France when you want to get paid in a big way. That's what Tannehill is looking for from the Titans. He had a good time starting for them this year after they decided to bench Marcus Mariota. However, Tannehill's new contract should not break the bank. We'll see how the team safely constructs his contract in case Tannehill regresses in 2020 and beyond.

Raiders | Tom Brady to receive $60M offer
New England Patriots QB Tom Brady, a pending free agent, will receive a two-year, $60 million offer from the Las Vegas Raiders, according to Larry Fitzgerald Sr., a long-time member of the Minnesota media.
Footballguys view: That sounds about right for Brady. We'll see if the Patriots want in on a potential bidding war for the first-time free agent. The Raiders want Brady bad and with a new stadium opening in 2020, Brady would be quite the draw for Vegas.

        Tuesday Update

NFL | Teddy Bridgewater likely to be hot commodity
Impending free-agent QB Teddy Bridgewater (Saints) is widely expected to leave the New Orleans Saints unless Drew Brees retires and likely to have a 'strong' free agency market as a starting or bridge quarterback for a team in transition, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Panthers | Cam Newton expected to pass physical

Seattle Seahawks impending free-agent WR Jaron Brown is not expected to re-sign with the Seahawks this offseason.

Redskins | Jordan Reed still in protocol
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) is still going through the concussion protocol, according to head coach Ron Rivera.

Steelers | Pittsburgh not interested in Antonio Brown
Free-agent WR Antonio Brown (Patriots) is not an option for the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Footballguys view: No breaking news here. Brown and the Steelers had a messy divorce and there's no getting it back together even though Brown has apologized to QB Ben Roethlisberger.

Dolphins | Tua Tagovailoa not a lock for Miami
Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa has been linked to the Miami Dolphins leading up to the 2020 NFL Draft, but the team does have some questions about his return to full healthy and his long-term durability, according to sources. The Dolphins are expected to meet with Tagovailoa at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Footballguys view: That's cool and all, but the team has had a plan of Tagovailo for quite some time. He's there pick at No.5 overall if his hip injury checks out. In fact, the Dolphins may have to move up for the Alabama passer.
        Link to story

Dolphins | Justin Herbert an option for Miami?
Oregon QB Justin Herbert is receiving more positive reviews from the Miami Dolphins leading up to the 2020 NFL Draft and could be an option for Miami in the first round, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Herbert is climbing draft boards after a strong performance at the Senior Bowl back in January. He is even an option for No.1 overall to the Bengals. We think the Dolphins end up going with Alabama QB Tua Tagovailo at the No.5 pick.
        Link to story

Steelers | Ben Roethlisberger expected for Week 1
Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) should be ready for the start of the 2020 regular season, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.
Footballguys view: Great news here. We are all interested to see how much Roethlisberger has left in the tank after missing most of the 2019 season. His draft classmates are not looking as good as they used to. Eli Manning ended up retiring and Philip Rivers is declining in play quality and looking for a new team for the first time in 16 years. Roethlisberger might only have a year or two left as the Steelers starter, and they need to get serious about finding his heir apparent.

Titans | Ryan Succop likely to be cut?
Tennessee Titans PK Ryan Succop is likely to be released in the offseason, in the opinion of ESPN's Turron Davenport.

Titans | Dion Lewis expected to be released?
Tennessee Titans RB Dion Lewis is expected to be released in the offseason, in the opinion of ESPN's Turron Davenport.
Footballguys view: This sounds about right. Lewis was barely used last year as the team finally figured out that Derrick Henry should touch the ball as much as possible. Lewis can still contribute as a change-of-pace back but not with the Titans. The move would save the team $4 million against the salary cap.

I know many think he is done, but I think this is the perfect spot for Rivers for a couple of years. They have a great online, run first mindset and Reich was his offensive coordinator with the Chargers for a few years so there is familiarity there.

Indy might be a decent landing spot on paper but I think he wants to play for a team closer to his family in Florida. Maybe TB or CAR could be fits if they move on from Winston or Newton.

                    Wednesday Update

Cowboys | Jason Witten wants to play in 2020
Impending free-agent TE Jason Witten (Cowboys) made it clear to reporters Tuesday, Feb. 18, that he intends to play next season and hopes to do so with the Dallas Cowboys, although he is not opposed to finishing his career somewhere else. He is hoping to make a more concrete decision about his future following the NFL Scouting Combine next week.

Denver Broncos QB Joe Flacco (neck) recently got good news after undergoing an MRI. As a result, he is expected to be physically cleared to return to action this season, although there is some question as to whether or not he will be back with Denver, according to ESPN's Jeremy Fowler.

Updating previous reports, Atlanta Falcons P Ryan Allen and PK Younghoe Koo were signed to one-year extensions Tuesday, Feb. 18. Both were set to become free agents in March, although Koo would have been an exclusive-rights free agent.

Seahawks | Greg Olsen signing with Seattle
Free-agent TE Greg Olsen (Panthers) is signing a one-year, $7 million contract with the Seattle Seahawks, according to a source. The deal includes $5.5 million in guaranteed money.

Saints | Drew Brees coming back
New Orleans Saints QB Drew Brees announced he'll play in 2020.
Footballguys view: Big news for the Saints here as Brees is probably playing his last season in the NFL. This also means that Teddy Bridgewater is likely to move on in free agency, and he may command a salary that pays him around $30MM annually. The Saints will also likely put a first-round tender on RFA Taysom Hill. He can be groomed to be the eventual replacement for Brees.

                      Thursday Update

Browns | Jarvis Landry underwent hip surgery
Cleveland Browns WR Jarvis Landry (hip) changed his mind and underwent hip surgery this week. He's expected to be back at some time in training camp.

Vikings | Stefon Diggs unlikely to get moved
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs may be the subject of some trade calls this offseason, but he faces 'plenty long' odds of getting traded, according to NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Diggs recently prompted discussion about potential unhappiness with his situation when he removed Vikings photos from his social media accounts.

San Francisco 49ers restricted free-agent WR Kendrick Bourne may receive the second-round tender offer this season because the team would not receive any compensation if they place the original-round tender offer on him and lose him to another team.

Bears | Chicago adding Demetrius Harris
Free-agent TE Demetrius Harris (Browns) agreed to terms on a one-year contract with the Chicago Bears Wednesday, Feb. 19, according to sources. Financial terms were not disclosed.
Footballguys view: Harris has familiarity with Matt Nagy's scheme from their time together with the Chiefs. The Bears have a ton of question marks at the tight end position with Trey Burton and Adam Shaheen. We've always liked Harris in deep dynasty formats, and this is a great landing spot for him.

NFL | Brandon Aiyuk will be ready for combine
Arizona State WR Brandon Aiyuk (groin) will be a full participant at the NFL Scouting Combine after he missed the Senior Bowl because of a groin injury.
Footballguys view: Aiyuk is good when running after the catch. He's a dangerous player with the ball in his hands and can break ankles in the open field. Most in the scouting community grade Aiyuk as a second-round pick in this incredibly talented WR class.
                      Link to story

Redskins | Jordan Reed clears protocol
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (concussion) has cleared the concussion protocol and plans to play in 2020, according to sources.
Footballguys view: Washington is expected to release Reed this offseason. He has a cap number of $10.3 million but there is only $1.8 million remaining in dead money.

Seahawks | Will Dissly likely to be ready for opener
Seattle Seahawks TE Will Dissly (Achilles) is expected to be ready for the start of the 2020 regular season.
Footballguys view: Dissly has talent but he has been hurt in each of his first two seasons in the pros. He's back for the start of 2020, but with the addition of Greg Olsen we'll see him in more of a reserve role for Seattle this season.
                      Link to story

Browns | Baker Mayfield to tweak footwork
Cleveland Browns QB Baker Mayfield will work on his footwork with offensive coordinator Alex Van Pelt. The veteran coach said he's going to have Mayfield put his left foot up (last year, had his right foot up) in the shotgun. Van Pelt thinks that will help Mayfield be more fluid in three-step drop out of the gun.
Footballguys view: Browns fans are wondering what is wrong with Mayfield, and perhaps this change in footwork will help him play better in 2020. In two seasons, Mayfield has been a low-end QB2 for Fantasy GMs. That's about where he should rank heading into the new season.
                      Link to story

                      Redskins | Adrian Peterson returning
Washington Redskins RB Adrian Peterson's option was exercised by the team Wednesday, Feb. 19.
Footballguys view: Peterson is going to be 35-years old this year but new head coach Ron Rivers wants him around for his leadership ability. He led Washington in rushing last year but Peterson will provide veteran depth behind Derrius Guice in 2020. If Guice gets banged up, again, then Peterson can take over in a two-down role.

                        Friday Update

Ravens | A.J. Green a fit in Baltimore?
Cincinnati Bengals impending free-agent WR A.J. Green (foot) 'wants out of Cincinnati,' in the opinion of an NFC executive, and the executive believes Green would be a 'good fit' for the Baltimore Ravens.
Footballguys view: Green would be a great fit anywhere. The Ravens could really use his talents as they don't have much outside of Marquise Brown at the wide receiver position. So long as he's healthy, Green can be one of the best receivers in the game. It would be a thrill to see him catch passes from Lamar Jackson in 2020.

Jets | Big money for Robby Anderson?
New York Jets impending free-agent Robby Anderson's next contract is likely to come in north of $10 million, according to an AFC personnel evaluator. 'It's real simple,' the evaluator said. 'He's fast and has size. Any team that wants speed at receiver will pay him well.'
Footballguys view: Anderson might be the highest-paid free agent receiver this offseason...depending on what happens with Bengals WR A.J. Green. We could see him get $10-12 million annually on his new deal. Anderson is arguably the best speed receiver in free agency and is looking to cash in.

Titans | Tennessee to keep Derrick Henry?
Tennessee Titans RB Derrick Henry has a good chance to receive a big extension from the Titans, according to an AFC scout. 'Keep a guy who you know you're getting with such consistency,' the scout said.
Footballguys view: There is no way Henry leaves the Titans. Well, there's always a way but it would be ludicrous for the Titans to let Henry walk in free agency. He's the centerpiece of what they do on offense and should remain as such for 2020 and beyond.

Titans | Marcus Mariota not rushing things
Tennessee Titans impending free-agent QB Marcus Mariota is expected to take his time to make a decision during free agency, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Mariota is not going to get a starting job in free agency. Instead, he should find a team where he could be a valuable backup behind a young starter. Perhaps a team like the Broncos would be interested if the price was right.

Browns | Odell Beckham should be healthy soon
Cleveland Browns WR Odell Beckham Jr. (core) should be completely recovered from his core muscle surgery in about a month, according to a source.
Footballguys view: That puts him on track to be ready for offseason workouts. That being said, the Browns are likely to take it easy on the veteran superstar in OTAs and minicamp. We'll see if a fully healthy Beckham, and hopefully an improved Baker Mayfield, can boost the Browns passing attack in 2020.

                        Redskins | Jordan Reed cut
Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed was released Thursday, Feb. 20, according to a source.
Footballguys view: Zero surprise here. Reed just got cleared from the concussion protocol and he hasn't played in over a year. He's a fine player when healthy but he's never played a full 16-game season in his pro career. If he wants to keep playing, some team might give him a one-year 'prove it' deal.

Agreed....the guy made $32.4M in his career. Step away from the game and enjoy life.

Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (elbow) was throwing a football indoors in a video shared by the team Saturday, Feb. 22.
Footballguys view: That's a good sign for the veteran quarterback. The Steelers are likely to take it easy on him as he comes back from this latest injury. The fact that he is throwing this early is good news and we expect him to be full strength by the start of training camp and the preseason.

Detroit Lions WR Danny Amendola will sign a one-year extension with the team, according to league sources Saturday, Feb. 22.
Footballguys view: Amendola will continue to serve as veteran depth and a dependable slot receiver (when healthy) for the Lions. In 2019, Amendola had 62 catches for 678 yards and one touchdown (15 games). Expect a similar projection of production for Amendola in 2020.

                              Bengals | A.J. Green likely to re-sign
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (foot) wasn't dealt at the trade deadline last fall, making it highly unlikely that the Bengals will let him walk in free agency, in the opinion of Pro Football Focus analyst Anthony Treash.
Footballguys view: That's been the buzz around Green for quite some time, although it is interesting to think about where he could land if he hits the open market. The Bengals could always use the franchise tag on Green if they needed more time to get a new contract done. If tagged, the two sides would have until mid-July to work out a new contract.
