Eagles | Alshon Jeffery remains idle
Philadelphia Eagles WR Alshon Jeffery (shoulder) remains out of practice in organized team activities.
Bears | Dion Sims still valued
Chicago Bears TE Dion Sims is still a valuable piece to the puzzle, according to head coach Matt Nagy. 'The nice thing with Dion is that he's a guy that's proven to be a solid blocker,' Nagy said. 'He can be in there and be your Y-tight end, but yet he still has really good hands. He can make plays on intermediate routes.'
Panthers | Devin Funchess not a No. 1 WR?
Carolina Panthers WR Devin Funchess has the talent to reach 1,000 yards, according to Bill Voth of Panthers.com, but Voth doesn't believe offensive coordinator Norv Turner wants a 'true No. 1 wideout' for his offense.
Ravens | Kenneth Dixon could carve out a role
Baltimore Ravens RB Kenneth Dixon will be a factor this year as long as he continues to do the right things 'on and off the field,' according to Jeff Zrebiec of the Baltimore Sun.
Bengals | John Ross seeing lots of work
Cincinnati Bengals WR John Ross has been 'fed the ball on a variety of routes' during OTAs, according to Jim Owczarski of the Cincinnati Enquirer.
Falcons | Julio Jones mending fences?
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones said there is 'no bad blood' between he and the organization, and he has simply been working on his own instead of attending OTAs. 'I'm not going nowhere, man,' Jones said. 'I love the team.'
Jets | Chris Herndon making noise
New York Jets TE Chris Herndon is one of the players who has 'stood out' during the first week of OTAs, according to Rich Cimini of ESPNNewYork.com.
Vikings | Stefon Diggs draws praise
Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs was lauded by new offensive coordinator John DeFillippo recently for displaying 'fantastic' ball skills, according to Sid Hartman of the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
Footballguys view: Diggs finished 2017 as the no.16 fantasy receiver, largely due to his eight receiving touchdowns. He's a consistently featured player in the Vikings passing game and should become an instant favorite of QB Kirk Cousins.
Buccaneers | Tampa Bay interested in Adrian Peterson?
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers 'may be ready to take a small gamble' with free-agent RB Adrian Peterson (Cardinals), according to the Florida Football Insiders.
Footballguys view: Peterson could serve as veteran depth on the team. With Doug Martin (Raiders) gone, the Bucs are turning to Peyton Barber and rookie Ronald Jones to carry the load. Peterson would give them a two-down thumper with something to prove after a 2017 season that saw him play for two teams (Saints, Cardinals).
Eagles | Darren Sproles absent from OTAs
Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles was one of two absences - along with DL Michael Bennett - from OTAs last week, according to Jimmy Kempski of PhillyVoice.com.
Footballguys view: Sproles is coming off a torn ACL that limited him to three games in 2017. He's chosen not to be at voluntary OTAs and is instead working out at home in California. Once again a top change-of-pace option for the Eagles, there is a lot of speculation that he could have a large role on offense. He's got plenty of RB3 value or flex appeal in PPR leagues if healthy.
Bengals | Tyler Eifert limited at OTAs last week
Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert (back) was reportedly moving at 'half speed' last week at OTAs and did not take part in team drills, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer's Jim Owczarski.
Footballguys view: Eifert is a talented player when healthy, but it's the whole 'healthy' thing that he's struggled with as a pro. He's only played in 10 games over the last two seasons, and only made it through two games in 2017. Eifert has TE1 upside, but his problems staying healthy are a concern for fantasy owners. He currently has an ADP of TE12 (11.04) in 12-team PPR leagues.
