Colts | Frank Reich officially hired as head coach
Updating previous reports, Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator Frank Reich has officially been hired as the new Indianapolis Colts head coach.
Footballguys view: It's officially official. Reich is a good hire by the Colts given the late start they got due to Josh McDaniels backing out on them. The Eagles offense had to overcome a ton of obstacles this year on the way to a World Championship and Reich was there leading the way. He'll take over a team in need of a makeover on offense. If Andrew Luck (shoulder) is healthy, then Reich will be ahead of the curve. |
Packers | Trevor Davis may see more snaps
Green Bay Packers WR Trevor Davis should have a bigger role as a receiver next season, in the opinion of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Michael Cohen.
Footballguys view: He's emerged as their best return man, but Davis is buried on the depth chart at wide receiver. Davis did get 55 snaps on offense over the last two games of the regular season, catching three passes for 56 yards (all in Week 17). He's an explosive player with the ball in his hands, but injuries would have to hit in front of him on the depth chart for Davis to play a fantasy relevant role. |
