IND - QB Andrew Luck in concussion protocol

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (concussion) is in the concussion protocol.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Luck owners need to be thinking about a plan B as the Colts play Thursday on Thanksgiving against the Steelers. It's going to be awfully difficult for Luck to be cleared before that game. If he is not able to play in Week 12, the team would turn to Scott Tolzien as their starter.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler may be out for season

Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (shoulder) suffered a shoulder injury in Week 11 and the Bears are deciding if the injury will end Cutler's season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

And the bad news Bears get more bad news here. QB Matt Barkley would start in Week 12 if Cutler is ruled out. We'll know more about Cutler's availability in the near future.

SEA - RB Thomas Rawls expected to carry the load

    Source: ESPN.com - Sheil Kapadia

Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls is likely to receive the lion's share of the work in the backfield after C.J. Prosise was diagnosed with a scapula injury in Week 11 against the Philadelphia Eagles that is expected to sideline him up to eight weeks.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rawls was thrust into perhaps more action than originally intended on Sunday against the Eagles. He played 40 snaps, carried the ball 14 times for 57 yards and hauled in three catches for 31 yards. Against the Buccaneers in Week 12, Rawls is a RB2 with RB1 upside.

CHI - TE Zach Miller to have surgery

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating an earlier report, Chicago Bears TE Zach Miller (foot) will have surgery on his broken right foot soon. Miller is out for the season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears don't have a lot of talent behind Miller at tight end. We'll see more targets on underneath routes for Eddie Royal moving forward. Cameron Meredith is their WR1 while Alshon Jeffery misses three more games due to a suspension.

GB - RB Christine Michael ready for Week 12?

    Source: Packer Report

Green Bay Packers RB Christine Michael is being prepared to play in Week 12, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We just don't have much faith in Michael. It will be interesting to see how he responds with his new team, but fantasy owners shouldn't count on it.

PHI - RB Darren Sproles has fractured rib

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles RB Darren Sproles (rib) has been diagnosed with a rib fracture, but he is expected to be 'good' for Week 12 as the injury is in a 'safe area', according to The Philadelphia Inquirer's Zach Berman.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Rib injuries usually come down to pain tolerance. With a game on Monday night, Sproles may be able to rest up and play in Week 12.

BUF - RB LeSean McCoy likely to play

    Source: ProFootballTalk.com

Buffalo Bills RB LeSean McCoy (thumb) had a procedure done on his dislocated thumb Monday, Nov. 21, but barring something unexpected, he's expected to play in Week 12.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We should see McCoy limited this week during practice. In fact, he may even be a game-time decision for the contest coming up against the Jaguars in Week 12. If McCoy can't play, then we'll see Mike Gillislee get the start. Even if McCoy does play, Gillislee might see a larger role as McCoy is eased back into action.

ATL - RB Tevin Coleman at full health

Source: The Atlanta Journal-Constitution - JuliaKate E. Culpepper

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman (hamstring) said he's feeling 100 percent and is ready to get back on the field after participating in practice Monday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Coleman's speed will come in handy for the Falcons. He's worth considering as a RB3/flex play in Week 12.

SEA - RB C.J. Prosise could return for NFL playoffs

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Seattle Seahawks RB C.J. Prosise (shoulder) could make it back by the start of the NFL playoffs in a best-case scenario, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

That's not good news for fantasy owners as most fantasy seasons end in Week 16 of the regular season.

CIN - WR A.J. Green could return this season?

Source: The Cincinnati Enquirer - Jim Owczarski

Updating previous stories, Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (hamstring) has only been ruled out Week 12 versus the Baltimore Ravens. Head coach Marvin Lewis would only confirm Green has a 'strained' hamstring Monday, Nov. 21, and believes the receiver will return this season.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We always encourage proceeding with caution when it comes to injury reports. There are media who want to rush to Twitter in order to 'break' news, but it doesn't matter if it turns out to be false. The reports about Green missing the rest of the year may be exaggerated or flat out wrong. The team is considering him week to week with this hamstring injury.

DAL - RB Darren McFadden activated

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden (elbow) was activated from the Non-Football Injury list Monday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It's been quite a few months since McFadden was out on the football field. McFadden should practice next week, and the Cowboys have a 21-day window to add him to their roster.

MIN - RB Ronnie Hillman waived

    Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Minnesota Vikings RB Ronnie Hillman was waived by the team Monday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hillman did little to impress during his short time with the Vikings. He was a free agent this last offseason, but no team showed interest. Hillman did sign with Denver, but the team let him go even though he led the team in rushing in 2015. We don't see teams lined up to sign him.

JAX - QB Blake Bortles to start again Week 12

    Source: Jaguars.com - John Oehser

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (shoulder) is expected to play after battling through a shoulder injury in a Week 11 loss to the Detroit Lions.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bortles has been struggling to do much outside of garbage time even when he's healthy. Expect him to be limited in practice this week, and only consider him a desperation QB2 against the Bills in Week 12.

NYJ - QB Ryan Fitzpatrick named Week 12 starter

Source: New York Daily News - Manish Mehta

New York Jets QB Ryan Fitzpatrick will get the start in Week 12 against the New England Patriots, according to head coach Todd Bowles.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We're not excited by this news. Fitzpatrick is only a low-end QB2 this week, even against a Patriots defense you can pick on in spots.

DEN - QB Trevor Siemian at practice Monday

    Source: 9News.com - Mike Klis

Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian (shoulder) took part in practice Monday, Nov. 21.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Siemian showed no ill-effects from the shoulder injury (non-throwing) he suffered earlier this year. He was battered against the Saints in Week 10, the bye week came at a great time for the young QB.

PHI - WR Nelson Agholor may be getting 'time off'

    Source: CSNPhilly.com - Reuben Frank

Philadelphia Eagles WR Nelson Agholor is in a bit of limbo after admitting he is 'inside his own head and struggling to move on from dropped passes'. Head coach Doug Pederson told reporters Monday, Nov. 21, he has yet to decide what to do with Agholor, but it sure 'sounds like' he will give Agholor some time off, according to CSN Philly's Reuben Frank.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners shouldn't be invested in Agholor at this time. He's flashed a tiny bit as a pro, but you could tell that the drops are getting to him. Perhaps some time off would help, but we're not betting on it.

PHI - RB Ryan Mathews day-to-day

Source: The Philadelphia Inquirer - Zach Berman

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (knee) is being considered day-to-day after suffering a right MCL sprain in Week 11 against the Seattle Seahawks despite being spotted wearing a brace leaving the locker room following the game.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Eagles play on Monday night in Week 12, so we may not get many updates on Mathews' status before then. Wendell Smallwood would get a larger role if Mathews can't play. Go ahead and consider him the top RB priority on most waiver wires out there...even without a clear idea of Mathews' availability.

NYG - RB Rashad Jennings taking over NYG backfield

Source: New York Post - Paul Schwartz

New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings played 47-of-67 snaps in a Week 11 victory over the Chicago Bears, while Paul Perkins saw 20 snaps.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This could be a repeat of what we saw last year when Jennings had over 100 all-purpose yards each week of the fantasy playoffs. His RB1 potential makes him at least a RB2/flex option for fantasy owners. So long as he's getting this workload and staying healthy, Jennings should produce as a runner and receiver out of the backfield.

BUF - WR Robert Woods may miss time

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills WR Robert Woods (knee) may be forced to miss time due to a sprained knee, according to a source.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Woods could miss a couple of weeks with this injury. There's a small chance that Sammy Watkins could return to action in Week 12. If not, the Bills will have to turn to guys like Marquise Goodwin, Percy Harvin and Justin Hunter. None of the three are great fantasy options.

CLE - QB Cody Kessler may be shut down

Source: The Cleveland Plain Dealer - Mary Kay Cabot

Updating previous reports, Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler (concussion) may be shut down for the season after suffering his second concussion in 29 days Sunday, Nov. 20.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We should see Josh McCown start on Sunday against the Giants. Do not forget about Robert Griffin III either. He's on track to be cleared to return, and this second concussion for Kessler has opened the door for Griffin to start again for the Browns this year -- something nobody expected a few weeks ago.

PIT - RB DeAngelo Williams has surgery

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport

Pittsburgh Steelers RB DeAngelo Williams (knee) had surgery to trim the meniscus in his knee, and he's expected to miss at least this week.

    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This just means more and more of Le'Veon Bell. The two-week timetable makes it possible for Williams to return in Week 13. In the meantime, Fitzgerald Toussaint will back up Bell.

Extremely doubtful Luck plays, which is obvious by Steelers now being -9. Playing on Thursday probably does not give enough time to clear protocol.

            Wednesday Update

IND - QB Andrew Luck not spotted at practice

Source: The Indianapolis Star - Zak Keefer

Indianapolis Colts QB Andrew Luck (concussion) did not practice Tuesday, Nov. 22 - the team's final practice prior to hosting the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 12.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Colts play on Thursday in a Thanksgiving matchup against the Steelers. It will be next to impossible to see Luck suit up for that game.

CIN - RB Rex Burkhead to pick up slack

            Source: Bengals.com - Geoff Hobson

Cincinnati Bengals WR/RB Rex Burkhead will take RB Giovani Bernard's (knee) place on third downs and serve as a receiver, runner and blocker. He only has 38 regular-season touches from scrimmage with 19 carries for 70 yards and 19 catches for 167 yards in four seasons. However, the team has expressed confidence in him stepping up into Bernard's role.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Burkhead is more than capable as a receiver, and he makes for a nice stash play in deep PPR leagues. He can catch passes out of the backfield, or Burkhead can be lined up outside (or in the slot) like a receiver. His versatility and willingness to run hard between the tackles make him an interesting weapon who will get more time with Bernard out.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler believed to have torn labrum

Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo

Updating previous reports, Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (shoulder) is believed to have a torn labrum in his right shoulder. He's receiving a second opinion.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The second opinion may reveal the same thing, and this means Cutler is likely to be shut down for the year. Outside of RB Jordan Howard, we can't trust any Bears player with Cutler out, Alshon Jeffery suspended and Zach Miller down for the year.

HOU - WR Will Fuller in the clear

Source: Houston Chronicle - Aaron Wilson

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (knee) avoided setbacks in his return Monday, Nov. 21, in Week 11.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

He didn't do much against the Raiders on Monday night, but at least he's trending in the right direction. As he gets healthier, Fuller's fantasy stock slightly improves. We're not wild about the Texans passing game (thanks Brock!), but Fuller is at least 'what the heck' flex option as he gets back up to full speed.

MIN - RB Adrian Peterson back in Week 15?

            Source: ESPN.com - Ben Goessling

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) is making progress in his recovery from surgery to repair a lateral meniscus tear in his right knee and he could be back on the field my mid-to-late December, league sources said Monday, Nov. 21. He had an exam late last week and might start running this week.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fantasy owners getting ready for the fantasy playoffs need to keep this in mind, and add Peterson if he's out there on the waiver wire. The Vikings haven't been able to run the ball with much success, but getting Peterson back would certainly help that. He might return for the Week 15 game against the Indianapolis Colts or the Week 16 road game against the Green Bay Packers.

SD - RB Ronnie Hillman joins the Chargers

Source: The San Diego Union-Tribune - Michael Gehlken

Free-agent RB Ronnie Hillman (Vikings) was claimed off waivers by the San Diego Chargers Tuesday, Nov. 22. WR Griff Whalen was waived in a corresponding move.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Chargers needed more depth behind starter Melvin Gordon. We don't see Hillman having much fantasy value with his new team. If he makes the active roster, Hillman may only mix in a tiny bit as a third-down back.

CIN - TE Tyler Eifert facing double coverage

            Source: ESPN.com - Katherine Terrell

Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert was double covered more often than usual in the Bengals' Week 11 loss to the Buffalo Bills. The Bills could afford to send more help against Eifert with WR A.J. Green (hamstring) exiting the game early.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's tough for Eifert to get open against bracket coverage. Eifert can expect to see more of the same in Week 12 against the Baltimore Ravens with Green sidelined.

NE - Josh McDaniels wants to coach again

            Source: NFL.com - Conor Orr

New England Patriots offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels said he would love to be a head coach again someday; he just doesn't plan on succeeding head coach Bill Belichick when the time comes.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

We'll see if McDaniels has matured as a coach and a leader if/when he gets another shot at a head coaching gig. His time in Denver was cut short, and he eventually found his way back to the Patriots. Most felt he would just take over in New England when Belichick is done. That may not be the case if another team gets him an offer he can't refuse.

LA - Jeff Fisher not considering OC change

Source: Los Angeles Times - Gary Klein

Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator Rob Boras is in no danger of losing his job, according to head coach Jeff Fisher.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Of course Fisher isn't going to change. That's some 9-7 bull-you-know-what.

NE - WR Malcolm Mitchell earning praise

            Source: ESPNBoston.com - Mike Reiss

New England Patriots WR Malcolm Mitchell appears unlikely to join the long list of the team's misses in the draft at the position. Tom Brady heaped several compliments on his rookie receiver recently, praising his intelligence and professionalism among other things.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

A fourth-round pick out of Georgia this year, Mitchell plays larger than his size and has the ability to create explosive plays downfield. It's a part of the Patriots offense that could be further explored as the postseason nears. Fantasy owners need to add Mitchell off the waiver wire in case that happens. Throw out a 5-10 percent bid to see if you can land the rookie.

CHI - David Fales signed by Bears

Source: NFL Network - Mike Garafalo

Baltimore Ravens QB David Fales was signed off the practice squad to the Chicago Bears' active roster Tuesday, Nov. 22.
            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bears drafted Fales in the sixth round of the 2014 NFL draft out of San Jose State. He was with the team for two seasons before following former head coach Marc Trestman to the Ravens. Fales has incredible anticipation which helps him overcome a severe lack of arm strength. With Jay Cutler likely out for the year, the Bears just need depth behind Matt Barkley.

SF - RB Carlos Hyde the main focus

            Source: ESPN.com - Nick Wagoner

San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde is the main focal point of the offense, according to head coach Chip Kelly. 'It's just overall the way our team is built,' Kelly said. 'We're built to run the football. Carlos is the main focus of what we're doing offensively.'

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Hyde is the centerpiece of the offense, largely because he's the best player on that side of the ball. He is running hard, but the rest of the team doesn't always put Hyde in the position to keep getting fed the rock. Hyde can produce as a receiver out of the backfield, so getting 100 or more all-purpose yards (like he did in Week 11) isn't out of the question on a weekly basis. That puts him firmly in RB2 territory regardless of the matchup.

BUF - Hopeful WR Sammy Watkins can play

            Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) might be able to return in Week 12 against the Jacksonville Jaguars. Head coach Rex Ryan said Monday, Nov. 21, he is hopeful Watkins will be ready. 'I'm speaking on behalf of every Buffalo Bills fan. I hope he can play some,' Ryan said. He added, however, that Watkins will not play unless he is ready.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

This is a big week for Watkins, and the team needs him in a bad way. With Robert Woods (knee) banged up, they would get a boost by Watkins' return. If Watkins can't play, then the passing game will consist of guys like Percy Harvin, Justin Hunter and Marquise Goodwin.

CHI - WR Kevin White won't return in 2016

Source: Chicago Tribune - Brad Biggs

Chicago Bears WR Kevin White (leg) will not come back from the Reserve/Injured list this season, according to beat writer Brad Biggs. He will go into his third NFL season in 2017 with 191 total snaps under his belt, or the equivalent of about three games through two pro seasons.

            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Injuries have held back White's pro career, and dynasty owners don't really know what they have in him. There is great potential there -- if he's ever healthy and if these injuries haven't robbed him of some of his natural ability.

Get the Steelers defense into your lineup, and use them if you're playing DFS on Thanksgiving. Scott Tolzien will start without Luck on the field for the Colts.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (chest) was limited during practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

Early reports indicate that Gronkowski is not going to play on Sunday against the Jets. Check back on Friday to see if he can practice fully and if his status changes as the week goes on.

MIN - WR Stefon Diggs unlikely to play

                            Source: ESPN - Adam Schefter

Minnesota Vikings WR Stefon Diggs (knee) is not expected to play Thursday, Nov. 24, against the Detroit Lions despite being listed as questionable, according to sources.

                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Without Diggs, we should see more targets for guys like Adam Thielen and Cordarrelle Patterson. That makes Thielen a WR3/flex option and Patterson a WR5/what-the-heck flex option in Week 12.

HOU - WR Will Fuller limited Wednesday

Houston Texans WR Will Fuller (knee) was limited in practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.
                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Fuller didn't suffer a setback against the Raiders in Week 11. That's good news going forward, but we can't recommend him as anything more than a 'what the heck' flex against the Chargers.

KC - WR Jeremy Maclin sidelined

                            Source: Chiefs.com

Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin (groin) did not practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.

                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Maclin has missed a couple of games, and he might miss the game against the Broncos on Sunday night. The Broncos are one of the best in the league against the pass, and CB Aqib Talib should return to the field this week. Even if Maclin plays, we're not counting on the Chiefs receivers to do much.

SD - WR Travis Benjamin has full practice

                            Source: Chargers.com

San Diego Chargers WR Travis Benjamin (knee) was a full participant in practice Wednesday Nov. 23.

                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Chargers should fill the air with footballs against the Texans on Sunday. With Benjamin practicing fully, he's on track to play quite a bit and could post WR4 numbers (with upside) in Week 12.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins has chance to play

Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) will have a good chance to play in Week 12 if he does not suffer a setback during practice.

                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

The Bills could really use Watkins back in action. Robert Woods (knee) is banged up, and Buffalo is left with guys like Justin Hunter, Percy Harvin and Marquise Goodwin. If Watkins plays, thinks of him as a WR4/flex play against the Jaguars on Sunday.

GB - RB Eddie Lacy will not return in 2016

                            Source: Packers.com

Green Bay Packers RB Eddie Lacy (ankle) will remain on the Reserve/Injured list for the rest of the season, according to head coach Mike McCarthy.

                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It will be interesting to see what happens with Lacy in the offseason. He's been on IR since Week 7, and he had surgery to repair his injured ankle. Lacy is a free agent in 2017, and his durability and weight issues may keep his market somewhat cool.

Philadelphia Eagles RB Ryan Mathews (knee) is out of practice Wednesday, Nov. 23.
                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

With Mathews and Darren Sproles (ribs) banged up, we could see Wendell Smallwood get a larger workload in Week 12 against the Packers. With the Packers struggling, Smallwood could post RB2 numbers on Monday night.

Cleveland Browns QB Robert Griffin III (shoulder) has been designated to return from the Reserve/Injured list Wednesday, Nov. 23, and has returned to practice.

                            [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Just a couple of weeks ago, it seemed like Griffin was not going to play another snap for the Browns. Now, with Cody Kessler concussed for the second time in a month, Griffin may be back under center before the season is out.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins listed as limited

                                    Source: BuffaloBills.com

Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) was limited during practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins is looking like a week away, though we rule nothing out quite yet. When he does come back it might take a week to get fully up to speed, but he should quickly resume his status as top dog in the passing offense and a solid WR2 most weeks.

JAX - Full practice for QB Blake Bortles

Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles (shoulder) was a full participant in practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

On the road against the Bills in Week 12, we can only recommend Bortles as a QB2 for fantasy owners. That means he'll be on your bench unless you play in a two-QB league.

Chicago Bears WR Eddie Royal (toe) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

It looks like Matt Barkley could start at quarterback for the Bears....and that doesn't make us excited for Royal if he ends up playing against the Titans this week.

CHI - QB Jay Cutler remains sidelined

Chicago Bears QB Jay Cutler (shoulder) did not practice Thursday, Nov. 24.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Bears head coach John Fox has not ruled Cutler out for Week 12. It seems like Cutler would be a long-shot to play this week, so the Bears are most likely going to go with Matt Barkley. Make sure to downgrade all expectations for the Bears offensive players if (when?) Barkley starts.

                                    Source: ESPN.com

Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder finished with eight catches on 10 targets for 88 yards in a 31-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, Nov. 24.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Crowder made some incredible plays to move the chains. He was a big part of the reason why Washington was able to move the ball regularly down the field. A touchdown would've been nice, but PPR fantasy owners should be more than happy with this performance.

                                    Source: ESPN.com

Washington Redskins WR DeSean Jackson caught four passes for 118 yards, including a 67-yard touchdown, in a 31-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, Nov. 24.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Jackson's touchdown was on a busted coverage, but it all counts the same for fantasy owners. Now that he's healthy, Jackson is a weekly boom/bust play because of his speed and ability to get on top of a defense. On Thanksgiving he went boom.

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (shoulder) played with a separated shoulder in a 31-26 loss to the Dallas Cowboys Thursday, Nov. 24, according to head coach Jay Gruden. Reed finished with 10 catches for 95 yards and two touchdowns.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Reed showed incredible toughness playing with this injury. He came through with a great game for his fantasy owners, even though Washington lost the game.

We think Miller will get a full load of carries and have success against the Chargers defense this week, making him a borderline RB1/RB2 this week.

Coming off a six-catch, 82 yard game, Fiedorowicz has settled into a nice TE2 spot most weeks and makes for a good streaming option. He's definitely worth the TE2 tag this week.

We are sure Philip Rivers is happy he is back, but we think his production will be limited due to rust, pressure on Rivers and a solid secondary by Houston, so consider him no more than a WR4.

Stefon Diggs was out, which allowed Thielen to get more targets and catches, but the offense was focused on getting the ball out quick which meant almost all of his targets were on short plays.

Detroit Lions WR Anquan Boldin caught seven passes for 69 yards and a touchdown Thursday, Nov. 24, against the Minnesota Vikings.

With the Vikings more interested in Golden Tate and Marvin Jones, as well as Eric Ebron so Boldin found himself free more often. He's been hit and miss this year, and is definitely on the downside of his career, but it's nice to see a spark here or there.

Woods is looking like a scratch this weekend, leaving Marquise Goodwin as the primary receiver for the Bills. Goodwin goes vertical and that's about it, which limits him to WR6 or WR7 production.

Keep an eye on this because Sproles and Ryan Mathews' situations will impact guys like Wendell Smallwood, who we have as a good RB2 right now. If Sproles plays, he could cut into Smallwood's touches making this very unpredictable.

Minnesota Vikings RB Adrian Peterson (knee) has yet to be cleared to run on the field, but he is running on an underwater treadmill while putting 30 percent of his body weight on his knee. The next step will be running in the anti-gravity pool and then normal running. His return date is unknown until he runs under normal conditions to see how the knee reacts.

                                    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Peterson looked awful before his injury but the Minnesota backfield is a mess. They can use him back.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (chest) was limited during practice Friday, Nov. 25, and is listed as questionable for Week 12.

Gronkowski had a non-contact jersey and did not speak to the media this week. We would take that as a sign that he won't play in Week 12. Martellus Bennett remains a boom/bust TE1 with an even bigger possible boom.

Washington Redskins TE Jordan Reed (shoulder) was diagnosed with a Grade 3 AC joint separation in his left shoulder after undergoing an MRI on Friday, Nov. 25. Reed may able to play in Week 13 against the Arizona Cardinals, depending on his range of motion and pain tolerance.

Reed was huge after returning to the game on Thanksgiving, with a week-winning performance in PPR leagues. He'll be impossible to leave on the bench if he is active.

The Bills wide receiver situation is grim, but it looks like Sammy Watkins will return in some capacity this week. Yeldon hasn't practiced all week, so it's a stretch to see him playing in Week 12. Chris Ivory will pilot an inefficient Jaguars running game. He's an RB2 play on volume and his increased involvement in the passing game last week.

New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (concussion) has been listed as questionable for Week 12 against the Los Angeles Rams.

Ingram is not technically out of concussion protocol, so we'll have to check back in Sunday morning to see if he's available. Tim Hightower would be a strong volume RB2 if Ingram isn't cleared for Week 12.

Floyd can't be trusted with the hamstring issue popping up mid-week and his struggles building any momentum this season. John Brown and JJ Nelson haven't been able to generate good games back-to-back this year either, so Larry Fitzgerald is the only Cardinals receiver we should play in a matchup that is promising from a fantasy perspective.

BUF - WR Sammy Watkins limited in practice

Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins (foot) has been on a 'pitch count' at practice this week, is running about 'three-quarters speed' and his conditioning still needs to improve, according to offensive coordinator Anthony Lynn.

                                                  [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

Watkins should be picked up in all leagues, but he isn't a wise play in his first week back with all of these qualifications on his conditioning and use against the Jaguars.

Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (back) has been ruled out for Week 12.

Thomas's contribution had been dwindling as the year had gone on, with only short garbage time touchdowns saving him in some weeks. Ben Koyack will get all of the work at tight end with Marcedes Lewis also out.

Updating a previous story, New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (chest) made the trip to New York on Saturday, Nov. 26. Gronkowski was not cleared to fly last week on the team's cross-country trip to visit the San Francisco 49ers.

He's a game-time decision for the game against the Jets. Fantasy owners need to have another option at the ready in case Gronk can't play.

BUF - Two Bills RBs to serve as backup

Source: The Buffalo News - Nick Veronica

Buffalo Bills RBs Jonathan Williams and Reggie Bush will see playing time behind RB LeSean McCoy in Week 12 since RB Mike Gillislee (hamstring) is ruled out.

                                                        [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

McCoy (thumb) is dealing with his own injury but should be able to carry his normal workload. We appreciate Williams and have a lot of interest in the rookie RB, but only in dynasty formats. If McCoy's thumb is even the slightest issue, then perhaps Bush would get worked in as a change-of-pace back. McCoy should post RB1 numbers against the Jags on Sunday.

JAX - Coach expects RB T.J. Yeldon to play

Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Gus Bradley said he expects RB T.J. Yeldon (ankle) to play in Week 12 even though Yeldon is listed as questionable for the game.

Yeldon could play, but his workload may be small due to this lingering ankle problem. That makes Chris Ivory the primary back for the Jaguars on Sunday. We think Ivory performs like a RB2 for fantasy owners against the Bills in Week 12.

San Diego Chargers WR Keenan Allen (knee) recently started to work out on a treadmill and expects to be ready for organized team activities during the offseason.

We still appreciate Allen's immense natural talent. He's a star when healthy, but problems staying durable have knocked off his pro career. In four years with the Chargers, Allen has never played a full 16-game regular season.

Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green played only 14-of-54 snaps in Week 12 against the Indianapolis Colts after getting 20 total snaps in his first two weeks back from injury, but head coach Mike Tomlin sounded as if he's ready to see his level of participation increase.

Green is in an amazing offense, and his physical talent has always been elite. However, he's never really played up to that potential in the pros. We'll stash him in deeper leagues hoping for a breakout, but we're not banking on it to happen.

Wilson was also one of many Bears receivers who let down his quarterback with drops or an even bigger day was there. Howard's value has been as durable as any back in the league once he got installed as the starter. The Bears have dabbled in RBBC this year, but any time they have relied on Howard, he has delivered. He'll be a borderline RB1 against San Francisco next week.

Carr ran off to the locker room for treatment.

Goff was effective early against the Saints defense, but didn't do much as the Saints opened up a huge second half lead. He showed good touch on the touchdown to Tavon Austin and Goff is displaying some things to work with for the future, but that future is still at least a year away for the Rams, who are going to remain around or below .500 yet again under Jeff Fisher.

Even in a week that Ryan Tannehill was high successful against the 49ers weak pass defense, Landry was quiet for fantasy leagues. He's more bench depth than WR3/Flex heading into a matchup with the Ravens.

Ajayi was clearly hampered by an offensive line missing three out of five starters. San Francisco 49ers TE Vance McDonald caught a team-high 60 receiving yards on four receptions in Week 12 against the Miami Dolphins.

McDonald almost had a touchdown, but his hands are not the most reliable. He's still a streaming option heading into a matchup with New England.

New England Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski (back, chest) left the team's Week 12 game early because of a back injury.

Gronkowski got a couple of deep targets, including one that drew obvious pass interference that wasn't called, but promptly left the game. Next week brings the 49ers in a matchup that would be a shame for Gronk to miss.

Hyde ran strong and was able to put up an RB1 week despite the fact that the 49ers played from behind for the whole game. Next week against New England brings a similar game script, but Hyde is looking too good to bench as your RB2.

Eifert was quiet in the first half, but he came on to put up one of the better tight end lines in Week 12. He is going to get more attention and more targets with AJ Green out. Next week brings an Eagles defense that has been tough on tight ends this year.

Kaepernick will be one of the huge hits of Week 12. He has top 10 finishes in three of the last four weeks and has been a high floor option in the rest of his starts. He's a bonafide QB1 against Chicago next week.

Arizona Cardinals RB David Johnson caught eight passes for 103 yards and one touchdown against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 12. He also rushed for 58 yards on 13 carries.

Johnson almost had a second touchdown as a receiver early in the game. He took advantage of a young Falcons linebacker corps to have a massive receiving day. He's right there with LeVeon Bell and Ezekiel Elliott as the most valuable running back in the league.
