Pittsburgh Steelers QB Ben Roethlisberger (knee) could return as soon as Week 9 against the Baltimore Ravens, according to head coach Mike Tomlin.

Roethlisberger's ability to heal quickly is something to marvel. It's a huge divisional game against the Ravens this week, and the Steelers could use their leader under center. Roethlisberger was expected to miss between four to six weeks after suffering a torn meniscus in a Week 6 loss to the Miami Dolphins.

KC - RB Jamaal Charles heads to IR, facing surgery

Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) has been placed on injured reserve Tuesday, Nov. 1. After visiting Dr. James Andrews, it appears Charles will need a second surgery on his surgically-repaired knee. The severity is unclear.

Doctors don't seem to know what is causing the pain in Charles' knee. He'll likely be shut down for the year, and the Chiefs will turn to guys like Charcandrick West and Spencer Ware in his absence. Ware has a concussion, and we'll have to see if he can be cleared to resume practicing later this week.

BUF - WR Percy Harvin re-joining Bills

Free-agent WR Percy Harvin (Bills) is coming out of retirement Tuesday, Nov. 1, and will re-sign with the Buffalo Bills.

It's been years since Harvin was a starable player in fantasy leagues. He retired this offseason after he finished 2015 on Injured Reserve for the Bills. The team has a huge need at WR with injuries taking a massive toll on their depth chart. Harvin used to be a playmaker, but only add him in deep leagues where you have a need for a 'what the heck' flex.

NYJ - New York to sign RB C.J. Spiller, release RB Knile Davis

Free-agent RB C.J. Spiller (Seahawks) is finalizing a deal with the New York Jets, who will subsequently release RB Knile Davis.

That didn't last long. Davis was just added earlier on Tuesday, and he didn't make it but a few hours before the team decided to go in a different direction. With the Chiefs adding Bishop Sankey, Davis is unlikely to go back to Kansas City at this time. Spiller could work as a change-of-pace back or receiver out of the backfield for the Jets.

Atlanta Falcons RB Tevin Coleman (hamstring) will have a rehab run Tuesday, Nov. 1. Head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Coleman's strength is back, but Quinn needs to see (Coleman's usual) explosion before he will be allowed to play.

Coleman will test the hamstring, then the team will need to see if there's soreness afterwards. It's a short week for the Falcons as they play the Bucs on Thursday Night Football. Pittsburgh Steelers TE Ladarius Green (ankle) has impressed the coaching staff with his attention to detail in his first few practices with the team. As a result, head coach Mike Tomlin acknowledged the possibility Green could see his first game action in Week 9 versus the Baltimore Ravens.

Green has never played up to his potential as a pro. He's incredibly athletic, and Green creates mismatches every time he's on the field. In the Steelers high-powered offense (provided that QB Ben Roethlisberger plays), we'll be keeping a close eye on Green in case he finally starts to produce.

Prescott is leading the team, and the Cowboys are set to make a deep postseason run with him under center. There's no telling what they'll do, but unless Prescott falters we think the rookie should stay as the starter.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams set a franchise record after hauling in 12 receptions for 74 yards in the team's Week 8 contest. That gives him 25 catches over the last two weeks, which is the most for any Packer in a two-game span.

Fantasy owners can look at Adams as a WR3/flex play (at least) with this type of workload. With Randall Cobb and Ty Montgomery out, Adams was a primary target for QB Aaron Rodgers. As those two get healthier, we'll see if Adams continues to get that much action.

Sankey has been a bust in his pro career after the Titans made him a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL draft. The Chiefs have other options besides Sankey if they want them. Darrin Reaves is on their practice squad and Knile Davis is now available after the Packers cut him.

This one bears watching. Thomas missed the early portion of practice Friday, Nov. 4, due to an illness. Later in the day, the team listed him as getting in a limited practice due to an ankle injury. But at the end of the day, he wasn't on the official injury report. Thomas not being on the injury report is a good sign for his status in the late afternoon game against the 49ers this week. Keep an eye on this one Sunday though to get the latest info.

BAL - QB Joe Flacco gives fans a scare

Baltimore Ravens QB Joe Flacco broke the protective brace on his left knee in the third quarter Sunday, Nov. 6, against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Flacco hopped off the field at the end of a play, and it first looked like Flacco had reinjured his left knee.

Flacco has been a mediocre fantasy quarterback all season. He has a great matchup against the Browns next week, and he did hit 300 yards and throw for two scores when he faced them earlier this year.

Cleveland Browns RB Isaiah Crowell caught four passes for 63 yards against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9. He also rushed for four yards on six carries during the game.

Crowell's good work as a receiver salvaged his day, but it's clear that this team isn't going to give him many run-friendly game scripts for the rest of this season. Next week at Baltimore will be another long day for them.

CLE - QB Cody Kessler has decent outing

Cleveland Browns QB Cody Kessler went 19-for-27 for 203 yards and one touchdown against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 9.

Kessler wasn't bad, but he wasn't good enough to give the Browns a chance to hang in against the weakened Cowboys defense. He is a game competitor, but lacks the arm to stretch the field and activate all of the weapons in the Browns pass offense. Kessler draws the resurgent Ravens defense next week.

Bryant wasn't really needed today as Cole Beasley and Jason Witten got open at will. He's a boom/bust WR with the Cowboys playing disciplined in the passing game. The matchup against the Steelers next week leans more toward boom for Dez.
