Spike Albrecht was granted his release from Michigan following a meeting with
head coach John Beilein. In that meeting, Albrecht expressed an interest in
playing a fifth season of college basketball, knowing that the U of M does not
have an available scholarship for him.
According to Albrecht, his scholarship release states that he cannot transfer
to any school appearing on Michigan's schedule over the next two seasons and requires him to seek a waiver from the Big Ten office if he wishes to transfer within the league.
I think Spike Albrecht should be able to transfer to any school of his choice without restrictions. What do you guys think about the 5th year transfer rules
from one college to another?
