#38I see nothing new yet besides what I already posted. Chargers are short at WR with Stevie Johnson and Malcolm Floyd likely out, although they do get Gates back at tight end. Steelers' Martavis Bryant will probably not make his season debut after suspension because he hurt his knee in practice, so that means more of Wheaton again.Comment -

#39Monday Update
KC - RB Jamaal Charles may have torn ACL
Source: NFL.com - Kevin Patra
Updating previous reports, Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles (knee) may have suffered a torn ACL during Week 5's game against the Chicago Bears based on initial tests, according to a source with knowledge of the injury. The team will receive more information after he undergoes an MRI exam. Charles exited the game during the third quarter after suffering a non-contact injury to his right knee and had to be helped off the field by two trainers.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It certainly looked like it could be that bad. Charles is 29 and it might be asking a lot for him to be an RB1 in fantasy leagues again in his career if this is indeed a torn ACL, although Charles came back from his first torn ACL just as good as before.

KC - Charcandrick West is guy to acquire?
Source: NFL.com - Michael Fabiano
Kansas City Chiefs RB Charcandrick West ran seven times for 31 yards in the Week 5 game against the Chicago Bears once RB Jamaal Charles (knee) went down.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
West passed Knile Davis on the depth chart last week. We'll see if Andy Reid decides to opt for Davis's sheer size and experience to flip-flop the depth chart and put the smaller West in a change of pace role. Either way, the Chiefs offense figures to be a lot less effective without Charles.

NE - RB Dion Lewis busy against Dallas
Source: ESPN.com
New England Patriots RB Dion Lewis was on the field for 43 snaps against the Dallas Cowboys in Week 5, finishing with six carries for 34 yards and eight catches for 59 yards and a touchdown.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Lewis is still the lead and feature back, including in the red zone. He eluded four tacklers on his way to his score, and he'll remain central in the best offense in football.

DAL - RB Darren McFadden solid in passing game
Source: The Associated Press
Dallas Cowboys RB Darren McFadden had a team-high nine catches for 62 yards and five carries for 16 yards in a 30-6 loss to the New England Patriots in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Almost all of his catches came on a late garbage time drive. The Cowboys have to figure out how to get this offense going during the bye. There's an outside shot that they'll have Dez Bryant to help in two weeks, but it will likely be longer.

DEN - WR Emmanuel Sanders breaks 100 yards
Source: The Associated Press
Denver Broncos WR Emmanuel Sanders had nine catches for 111 yards in a 16-10 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Sanders is getting open at will, but touchdowns are tougher to come by in the latter day Peyton Manning offenses. He's a borderline WR1 in PPR leagues and should come up big at Cleveland next week.
WAS - WR Jamison Crowder emerging as star
Source: The Associated Press
Washington Redskins WR Jamison Crowder posted eight receptions for 87 yards in the Week 5 game against the Atlanta Falcons, cashing in all eight of his targets.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Crowder is as sudden and decisive in the open field as Tyler Lockett. He could be a viable PPR WR3 if he keeps this up, and his dynasty prospects are very bright.
WAS - RB Matt Jones runs for score
Source: The Associated Press
Washington Redskins RB Matt Jones had 11 carries for 20 yards and a touchdown in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons. He also added one reception for 17 yards.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones hurt his toe, he is mired in a three-way committee, and his team faces one of the best defensive lines in football next week. His value is falling.
DEN - QB Peyton Manning throws two picks
Source: The Associated Press
Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning completed 22 of 35 passes for 266 yards, no touchdowns and two interceptions in a 16-10 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Manning isn't a QB1 anymore, but we might start him as one against the Browns next week.
ATL - WR Julio Jones quiet by his standards
Source: The Associated Press
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones had five receptions for 67 yards in the Week 5 game against the Washington Redskins. He was targeted 10 times.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones was clearly hobbled by his hamstring, and he might be better off resting with a short week and Thursday game coming up. He was lucky have a touchdown because Devonta Freeman fumbled into the end zone and Jones recovered. He's not going to put up his elite numbers until he is healthy again, and Atlanta's bye isn't until Week 10.
ARI - WR John Brown back in the end zone
Source: ESPN.com
Arizona Cardinals WR John Brown had four catches for 73 yards and a touchdown in a 42-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Brown didn't have much opportunity with Carson Palmer only throwing 14 passes, but it was enough. He's a must play upside WR2 at Pittsburgh next week.
DET - RB Ameer Abdullah fumbling away job?
Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein
Detroit Lions RB Ameer Abdullah was replaced by RB Zach Zenner and replaced as kick returner by WR T.J. Jones after fumbling twice in the first half against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5. He finished with six carries for 17 yards and one catch for nine yards.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Lions only have one player we would trust every week, Calvin Johnson, and we only trust him as an WR2 right now.
ATL - RB Devonta Freeman continues to roll
Source: The Associated Press
Atlanta Falcons RB Devonta Freeman ran 27 times for 153 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 game against the Washington Redskins, and he added seven receptions for 44 yards on eight targets.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Freeman has graduated into being a full-grown all-around put the team on your back RB1. He would be a first-round pick if we drafted today, and he is a must-play for the rest of the season, including Thursday at New Orleans.
ARI - WR Larry Fitzgerald catches another score
Source: The Associated Press
Arizona Cardinals WR Larry Fitzgerald had five catches for 58 yards and a touchdown in a 42-17 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Fitzgerald was able to catch five balls and score when his starting quarterback only threw 14 times. That's what a stud looks like. He's an everyweek WR1 going back to Pittsburgh next week.
CLE - TE Gary Barnidge keeps rolling
Source: The Associated Press
Cleveland Browns TE Gary Barnidge caught eight passes for 139 yards and a touchdown in a 33-30 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Barnidge's touchdown came on an improbable between his legs catch and the unheralded tight end seemed to find lots of open room in the Ravens defense all day. Next week against the Broncos won't be as easy.
BAL - RB Justin Forsett tops 100 yards
Source: The Associated Press
Baltimore Ravens RB Justin Forsett had 21 carries for 121 yards and a touchdown and four catches for 49 yards in a 33-30 loss to the Cleveland Browns in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Forsett had an ankle issue and didn't finish the game. We'll monitor practice and injury reports to check his availability against the 49ers next week. Lorenzo Taliaferro missed this game, so rookie Javorius Allen could get a start next week if this knocks Forsett out of next week's game.
CLE - QB Josh McCown sets records
Source: The Associated Press
Cleveland Browns QB Josh McCown completed 36 of 51 passes for a team-record 457 yards and two touchdowns in a 33-30 win over the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5, becoming the first player in franchise history to pass for 300 yards in three straight games.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
McCown has always had a never say die attitude in games, and the Ravens defense lost another pass rusher and saw their secondary take multiple injuries. McCown gets a much tougher test against Denver next week, while the Ravens will face Colin Kaepernick and the 49ers.
PHI - QB Sam Bradford tops 300 yards
Source: The Associated Press
Philadelphia Eagles QB Sam Bradford completed 32 of 45 passes for 333 yards with two touchdowns and two interceptions in a 39-17 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bradford threw two terrible red zone picks early, but a pathetic Saints defense wore down and gave way to big numbers in the second half. He'll be a boom/bust start against the Giants next week.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas finally makes debut
Source: The Associated Press
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (finger) made his regular season debut in Week 5 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he finished with two receptions for 20 yards.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The wide receivers did all of the heavy lifting as the Jaguars tried to dig their way out of a deficit all afternoon. Thomas is worth rostering, but not yet worth starting.
JAX - WR Allen Robinson scores two touchdowns
Source: The Associated Press
Jacksonville Jaguars WR Allen Robinson had a game-high seven receptions for 72 yards and two touchdowns in the Week 5 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Robinson was excellent in the end zone and put up his second elite game of the season. His downs haven't even been that bad because of garbage time, which is keeping Robinson knocking on the WR1 door through five weeks.
JAX - QB Blake Bortles tosses four TDs
Source: The Associated Press
Jacksonville Jaguars QB Blake Bortles completed 23 of his 33 pass attempts for 303 yards, four touchdowns and an interception in the Week 5 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He also ran once for 21 yards.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bortles had a massive game in a comeback attempt against the Bucs. He could be a solid streamer or DFS play again next week against the listless Texans defense.
TB - WR Mike Evans rather quiet in win
Source: The Associated Press
Tampa Bay Buccaneers WR Mike Evans had just three receptions for 41 yards in the Week 5 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Evans had two targets inside the five, but with the Bucs keeping Jameis Winston in game manager mode because of the game script, he didn't have the chance for a good fantasy line.
TB - RB Doug Martin has giant stat line
Source: The Associated Press
Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB Doug Martin carried 24 times for 123 yards and a touchdown in the Week 5 win against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also added three 35 receptions and a touchdown.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Martin has regained his rookie year form and the offensive line is run blocking much better than expected. He'll go into the bye as a borderline RB1 despite playing on a losing team with a RB2 who is on the rise.
PHI - RB DeMarco Murray busy in Week 5
Source: The Associated Press
Philadelphia Eagles RB DeMarco Murray had 20 carries for 83 yards and seven catches for 37 yards in a 39-17 win over the New Orleans Saints in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Murray still got most of his carries when the game was out of hand. He finally had a big fantasy game, but when the Eagles face the underrated Giants defense next week, he and the offense could come back to earth. The Saints defense is going to have to try to slow down Devonta Freeman on Thursday.
KC - WR Jeremy Maclin busy again
Source: The Associated Press
Kansas City Chiefs WR Jeremy Maclin had eight catches on 12 targets for 85 yards in an 18-17 loss to the Chicago Bears in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Maclin is getting a huge volume of targets that should only go up with Jamaal Charles likely being out for the year. In PPR leagues, Maclin is carrying low WR1 value, but nonPPR is tougher for him with the importance of touchdowns, which remain a problem for Alex Smith.
CHI - WR Marquess Wilson shines in Week 5
Source: The Associated Press
Chicago Bears WR Marquess Wilson had eight catches for 85 yards and a touchdown in an 18-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Wilson stepped up with Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal out, and he has now put up two solid weeks in a row. Rookie Kevin White could return in the second half of the season, but the 23-year-old Wilson is showing that he still has a bright future with the Bears.
BUF - Buffalo run game does nothing
Source: The Associated Press
Buffalo Bills RB Dan Herron carried nine times for just 28 yards in the Week 5 game against the Tennessee Titans, and RB Anthony Dixon ran seven times for 19 yards.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Bills running game was anemic without LeSean McCoy and Karlos Williams and they might be without both of them again next week against the Bengals. Neither earned any waiver condition for Week 6.
CIN - Big game for TE Tyler Eifert
Source: The Associated Press
Cincinnati Bengals TE Tyler Eifert had eight catches on 12 targets for 90 yards and two touchdowns in a 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Eifert was huge against a tough defense and he continues to be the first option in the red zone for a Bengals offense that makes a lot of visits to that part of the field. Only Rob Gronkowski is clearly worth more at the tight end position.
SEA - TE Jimmy Graham quiet again
Source: The Associated Press
Seattle Seahawks TE Jimmy Graham had three catches on five targets for 30 yards in a 27-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Graham is not central to the Seahawks game plan as it is, and when they lead for most of the game as they did on Sunday, they won't attempt many passes. Graham is a low ceiling TE1 at this point.
SEA - Thomas Rawls runs over Bengals
Source:
Seattle Seahawks RB Thomas Rawls had 23 carries for 169 yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Rawls found more room to run against the Bengals, and he was just too fast and determined for their defense on a 69-yard touchdown run. His performance means the Seahawks don't have to rush Marshawn Lynch back from his hamstring injury.
CIN - QB Andy Dalton leads comeback
Source: The Associated Press
Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton completed 30 of 43 passes for 331 yards with two touchdowns and an interception and had 18 rushing yards and a touchdown in a 27-24 win over the Seattle Seahawks in Week 5.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Dalton threw a pick into the end zone that seemed to turn the game around, but he and the Bengals outfought the Seahawks for a big win and big stat line for Dalton. If he can do it against Buffalo on the road next week, we'll have to anoint Dalton an everyweek fantasy starter.
STL - RB Todd Gurley carries the load
Source: The Associated Press
St. Louis Rams RB Todd Gurley had 30 carries for 159 yards in a 24-10 loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 6.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Gurley was dominant at times and the only thing that worked in the Rams offense on this day. Look for him to get this heavy dose every week even though he's less than one year removed from an ACL tear. The rookie will get to rest his knee next week as the Rams are on bye.
GB - QB Aaron Rodgers' streak ends
Source: The Associated Press
Green Bay Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' streak of pass attempts at home without an interception ended at 587 against the St. Louis Rams in Week 5. He completed 19 of 30 passes for 241 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and he ran for 39 yards and lost a fumble.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Rams were a tough out for Rodgers, who is usually near flawless. He was a disappointment of a fantasy quarterback today, but the Chargers and Week 6 should bring better prospects. St. Louis's defense won't be terrorizing anyone in Week 6 as they go on bye.
ARI - QB Carson Palmer rested in blowout
Source: FOX Sports - Television
Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer was rested for a majority of the fourth quarter in a blowout win against the Detroit Lions in Week 5. Palmer finished completing 11 of his 14 passes for 161 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions. QB Drew Stanton replaced him and finished the rout.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Palmer and the Cardinals are too good for fantasy owners to be able to harvest the full value of their efficiency and explosiveness. You have to start him next week at Pittsburgh.

JAX - RB T.J. Yeldon says he is fine
Source: The Florida Times-Union - Hays Carlyon
Updating a previous report, Jacksonville Jaguars RB T.J. Yeldon (groin) said Sunday, Oct. 11, that he is fine and the injury he suffered in the Week 5 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is not serious.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Yeldon has a potentially good matchup against the reeling Texans next week if he can get in enough to practice to be ready for the game.
