#38Sunday Update
GB - WR Randall Cobb injures shoulder
Source: ESPN.com - Rob Demovsky
Green Bay Packers WR Randall Cobb (shoulder) exited a preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles Saturday, Aug. 29, and was taken to the locker room with a shoulder injury.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Ouch. The Packers don't need anything serious to happen to Cobb after losing Jordy Nelson for the year in the last preseason game. Saturday night, NFL.com's Ian Rapoport had a positive update: "Sounds like #Packers dodged a bullet with Randall Cobb’s injury. Teammates left believing it’s minor, that it’s likely just a sprain."

ATL - WR Julio Jones receives extension
Source: NFL Network - Ian Rapoport
Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones agreed to terms with the team Saturday, Aug. 29, on a five-year contract extension worth $71.25 million, according to a source. The deal includes $47 million in guaranteed money.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Jones has a slight advantage in average annual salary compared to the deals that Dez Bryant and Demaryius Thomas received earlier this year. Now that his contract situation is out of the way, Jones can go dominate on the field. We like him being moved around in the Kyle Shanahan offense, and Jones could push to be the no1 fantasy receiver in 2015.

PIT - PK Garrett Hartley suffers injury
Source: Pittsburgh Tribune-Review - Mark Kaboly
Pittsburgh Steelers PK Garrett Hartley (hamstring) suffered an apparent hamstring injury during the third preseason game Saturday, Aug. 29.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Just what the Steelers don't need--another injury to a kicker. Early reports indicate that he's walking quite gingerly on the sidelines. NFL.com sounded pessimistic: "Coach Mike Tomlin told reporters after the game that Hartley will get an MRI and that it didn't look positive in terms of the opener."

WAS - No decision on Washington QB starter
Source: NFL Network - Albert Breer
Washington Redskins QBs Kirk Cousins and Robert Griffin III still don't know who will start Week 1, according to a source. It was previously reported that Cousins was expected to start Week 1 over Griffin.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
There are plenty of reporters around that team who indicate that Kirk Cousins is going to start in Week 1 of the regular season. It's seems to be up in the air right now, but we won't be shocked if Cousins is the starter for Washington when the regular season gets here.

SD - QB Philip Rivers injures hand
Source: ESPN.com - Eric D. Williams
San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers (hand) went to the locker room with a trainer before halftime after hitting his hand against a defender's hand in a preseason game against the Seattle Seahawks Saturday, Aug. 29.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
After the game, Michael Gehlken had good news, "Philip Rivers on his finger: "I'm good. Had to this been regular season, I still would've been rolling." Took X-Ray. "All is good."

CIN - QB Andy Dalton's injury not serious
Source: ESPN.com - Coley Harvey
Cincinnati Bengals QB Andy Dalton (neck) was removed as a precaution in a preseason game against the Chicago Bears Saturday, Aug. 29, head coach Marvin Lewis said.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Good news for the Bengals here. They can make a push for a playoff spot this year if Dalton is on the field. Going to backup A.J. McCarron may not yield positive results.

JAX - RB Denard Robinson could start Week 1
Source: ESPN.com - Mike DiRocco
Jacksonville Jaguars RB Denard Robinson might be the Jaguars' starting running back to start the season, according to Mike DiRocco of ESPN.com.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We're not totally buying this, but we'll have to see it play out over the rest of the preseason. Robinson isn't built to carry a starter's workload, but he could work nicely as a change-of-pace back behind rookie T.J. Yeldon.

OAK - RB Trent Richardson on bubble?
Source: ESPN.com - Bill Williamson
Oakland Raiders RB Trent Richardson may be on the bubble for the final roster, according to ESPN.com's Bill Williamson. Williamson said Michael Dyer could overtake Richardson.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Dyer is a talented back who bounced around to a few different college programs. He's not elite, but Dyer is a decisive and instinctive runner who can make his living between the tackles. Richardson is looking more and more like one of the biggest busts in NFL history.

JAX - TE Julius Thomas on track for opener
Source: The Florida Times-Union - Ryan O'Halloran
Jacksonville Jaguars TE Julius Thomas (hand) appears to be on track to play in the team's Week 1 game, according to head coach Gus Bradley.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Things are going to be different for Thomas this year, and fantasy owners need to react. He's not catching passes from Peyton Manning anymore, and his stats should fall with Blake Bortles tossing him the rock. Thomas is still a TE1 if healthy, but he's more of a low-end TE1 than a top-5 guy like he was in Denver.

ARI - QB Carson Palmer may be limited Sunday
Source: The Arizona Republic - Bob McManaman
Arizona Cardinals QB Carson Palmer is not expected to see as much playing time as some of the other starters during the third preseason game Sunday, Aug. 30, according to head coach Bruce Arians.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The Cardinals need to be careful with their starter. With so many injuries around the preseason, it's not a shock to see them do this with Palmer.

TEN - RB David Cobb considered week-to-week
Source: TitansOnline.com - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans RB David Cobb (calf) is considered week-to-week because of a calf injury, according to head coach Ken Whisenhunt.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We like Cobb's potential as a starter, but this calf injury is holding him back. The Titans are turning to Bishop Sankey as their starter, and Cobb will have to wait in order to push him for playing time.
