Diamondback games are blacked out in Las Vegas, so I can't watch them and guess who it is.

Diamondbacks manager Chip Hale said Friday that Addison Reed has been demoted from the closer role.

He plans to play the matchups, although Brad Ziegler would seem to be the clear favorite for save chances. Reed will work earlier in the game as he attempts to fine-tune his mechanics. The demotion doesn't come as a surprise, as Reed has blown two of four save chances while posting a 7.20 ERA. For what it's worth, Hale said he envisions Reed returning to the ninth inning once he gets his mechanics in order. May 15 - 5:14 PM ET
