Cavaliers / Bulls Key Injuries (Only Game Thursday)

Jimmy Butler (shoulder) is listed as questionable to face the Cavs on Thursday.


He is only dealing with a muscular shoulder injury and it would appear he at least has a shot to play. Mike Dunleavy (ankle) is probable, so the Bulls might not need him quite so badly. If Butler does sit, Tony Snell will look to build off his 24-point game on Tuesday. He's still not a great fantasy play in most leagues, though. Butler owners will want to check back for more information at shootaround Thursday morning.


My own personal thinking is they sit him and let him go enjoy his first All-Star Game, but that is just speculation on my part.

Kevin Love suffered a right corneal abrasion on Wednesday and he is going to travel with the team to Chicago on Thursday.

He is going to be re-evaluated on Thursday and the team should have an update for him in the morning. A scratched cornea could require some time off, but the All-Star break certainly helps here. Hopefully there is nothing retina related, which would likely require more time off. If Love is out, Tristan Thompson would get more run and the Cavs would likely use LeBron at the four on occasion, too.
