He has been suspended WITHOUT PAY for at least the remainder of the 2014 NFL season. So basically he got paid for 11 weeks this season without playing.

Peterson reportedly will appeal this ruling so this is not over yet.

Peterson will get one over on the NFL this year. He decided to not attend their hearing last week as it was not a properly sanctioned hearing. I don't know the ins and outs of the CBA, but if he is right, then he should not have attended.

The NFL didn't like him showing them up....so they react this way.

I laughed at people who picked him up in fantasy because you had to assume a legit suspension would follow. The exempt list isnt a suspension, its basically a paid leave of absence until legal proceedings are dealt with. He acts like pleading no contest means he was ruled not guilty. It was basically a plea deal to keep his ass out of jail.
