Sunday NFL Recap per FootballGuys (Week 7)
DEN - QB Peyton Manning sets NFL record
    Source: ProFootballTalk.com
Updating a previous report, Denver Broncos QB Peyton Manning threw his third touchdown of the first half of Week 7 against the San Francisco 49ers to WR Demaryius Thomas in the second quarter. It was the 509th touchdown pass of Manning's career, as he moved into the top spot in NFL history for career touchdown passes.

Congrats to Manning for a fantastic record.

DAL - RB DeMarco Murray makes NFL history
    Source: NFL
Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray is the first played in NFL history with over 100 rushing yards in each of his first seven games to begin a season, surpassing Hall of Fame RB Jim Brown.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Murray has certainly led most everyone who drafted him to very hot starts in their fantasy leagues. He should benefit from the extra day of rest before Monday night's game against Washington. Murray had to have his ankle re-taped after planting his toe awkwardly and didn't seem as sharp at the end of the game as he was in Week 6.

DET - WR Calvin Johnson non-committal about Week 8
    Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein
Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) would not give any indication whether he would play in Week 8 against the Atlanta Falcons. After the Week 7 game Sunday, Oct. 19, he simply said, 'maybe' as he was asked about his playing status next week.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
The bye is up the next week after the game at Atlanta, and the Lions are winning games with him on the sidelines. One might even say they are maturing as a team. They could be a real handful once Johnson is back on the field.

GB - RB James Starks injures ankle
Source: Green Bay Press-Gazette - Ryan Wood
Green Bay Packers RB James Starks (ankle) left the Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers in the third quarter due to an ankle injury and he was unable to return.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Starks injury might not be that serious if the Packers just removed him to be careful in a blowout. He's rosterable in deep leagues as a potential hit if Eddie Lacy goes down.

BUF - RB Fred Jackson to sit in Week 8
Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora
Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (groin) had an MRI Sunday, Oct. 19, and he will be out at least two weeks due to the groin injury he suffered in the Week 7 game against the Minnesota Vikings. The team has a bye in Week 9, so it is possible he returns in Week 10 and misses just one game.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Anthony Dixon and Bryce Brown will split the backfield work in a minus matchup against the Jets next week.

TEN - QB Jake Locker expected back in Week 8
Source: The Tennessean - Jim Wyatt
Tennessee Titans QB Jake Locker (hand) is expected to be back in Week 8. Head coach Ken Whisenhunt said Sunday, Oct. 19, that Locker's hand was still sore this week. QB Charlie Whitehurst started in his absence in Week 7 against the Washington Redskins.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Locker will face the Texans. He hasn't shown enough this year to merit a pre-emptive pickup, but it could help Justin Hunter.

WAS - RB Alfred Morris leaves briefly
    Source: CSNWashington.com - Tarik El-Bashir
Updating a previous report, Washington Redskins RB Alfred Morris (ankle) left the Week 7 game against the Tennessee Titans briefly due to a left ankle injury, but he was able to return and finish the game. Morris carried 18 times for 54 yards, and he did not have a reception.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Morris has struggled to get on track, in part due to inconsisten quarterback play and a defense that doesn't give him winning game scripts. It's not crazy to bench Morris next week if you have better options.

WAS - QB decision coming this week
    Source: CSNWashington.com - Tarik El-Bashir
Washington Redskins QB Kirk Cousins was benched in favor of QB Colt McCoy in Week 7 against the Tennessee Titans. After the game, head coach Jay Gruden said Sunday, Oct. 19, that a decision on the starting quarterback for Week 8 against the Dallas Cowboys will be made during the week. It's uncertain if QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) is an option.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
No matter who starts, the Cowboys defense is looking like a good pickup for a home Monday night game.

DET - QB Matthew Stafford provides late heroics
    Source: The Associated Press
Detroit Lions QB Matthew Stafford completed 27 of 40 pass attempts for 299 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in the Week 7 game against the New Orleans Saints. Both touchdown strikes came in the final 3:38 of the game, after the Lions had trailed 23-10.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Stafford had one of his best games of the season without Calvin Johnson. One of the interceptions was a backbreaker in the red zone and it wasn't his fault. He should have another good day in store against the Falcons next week with or without Johnson.

DET - RB Reggie Bush bothered by ankle
    Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein
Detroit Lions RB Reggie Bush (ankle) was not benched in the Week 7 game against the New Orleans Saints. Bush only played a handful of snaps in the second half in favor of RB Joique Bell because his ankle was bothering him, according to head coach Jim Caldwell.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Bush might not be right until after the Detroit Week 9 bye. He has been a disappointment and Joique Bell should be the only viable Lions RB to start next week at Atlanta. The matchup is good and on turf, so if Bush has a good week of practice, perhaps he'll make for a good flex play.

BUF - RB C.J. Spiller to have surgery Monday
    Source: ESPN.com - Mike Rodak
Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB C.J. Spiller (collarbone) will have surgery Monday, Oct. 20, to repair the broken collarbone he suffered in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings. Head coach Doug Marrone said Sunday, Oct. 19, that Spiller will be out 'an undetermined time.'
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Surgery indicates a displaced fracture, which will put Spiller on the long end of broken clavicle return timelines, and possibly jeopardize his season.

DAL - RB DeMarco Murray leaves briefly
    Source: DallasCowboys.com
Dallas Cowboys RB DeMarco Murray (ankle) left the Week 7 game against the New York Giants briefly due to an ankle ailment. He had his right ankle re-taped, and he was able to return.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Murray's toe planted awkwardly and he stumbled to the ground on what could have been a much longer run. He is back in the game and his owners can breathe again.

MIN - Jerick McKinnon hits century mark
    Source: The Associated Press
Minnesota Vikings RB Jerick McKinnon carried 19 times for 103 yards in the Week 7 game against the Buffalo Bills, and he had two receptions which resulted in minus-2 yards.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
There was some question about how much of the Vikings backfield workload McKinnon would have this week, but he was the clear lead back again this week. Next week against Tampa should provide McKinnon owners with a solid RB2 start.

BUF - RB Anthony Dixon pressed into duty
    Source: The Associated Press
Buffalo Bills RB Anthony Dixon was pressed into duty in Week 7 against the Minnesota Vikings due to injuries to RBs Fred Jackson (groin) and C.J. Spiller (collarbone). Dixon finishes with 13 carries for 51 yards, and he added three receptions for 15 yards.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Dixon will get a chance to make his mark next week, along with Bryce Brown, although they draw the tough Jets run defense. Both should be lower on your waiver priority list than Tre Mason or Denard Robinson.

BUF - Big day for WR Sammy Watkins
    Source: The Associated Press
Buffalo Bills WR Sammy Watkins hauled in nine receptions for 122 yards and a pair of touchdowns in the Week 7 game against the Minnesota Vikings.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Watkins just needed a viable QB to show why the Bills traded up for him. After being stranded on Revis Island last week, Watkins created separation consistently and converted huge plays to help the Bills complete an unlikely comeback. He's a must-start against the Jets secondary next week.

IND - RB Trent Richardson leaves game
Source: The Indianapolis Star - Mike Chappell
Indianapolis Colts RB Trent Richardson (hamstring) left the Week 7 game against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a hamstring injury.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
It's difficult to judge whether Richardson has a chance to play against the Steelers next week because the game was basically out of hand when he was pulled. It is possible that the Colts were just erring on the side of caution. Richardson actually looked about as good as he has in the last two seasons in this one before exiting.

STL - RB Zac Stacy nearly non-existent
Source: St. Louis Post-Dispatch - Jim Thomas
St. Louis Rams RB Zac Stacy did not have any touches in the Week 7 game against the Seattle Seahawks. The Rams used a combination of RBs Tre Mason, who had 85 rushing yards and a touchdown, and Benny Cunningham, who led the team with 46 receiving yards and a score.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Stacy has fallen out of favor after seizing the backfield last year from lesser talents than Tre Mason and Benny Cunningham. He is droppable in redraft leagues, and his dynasty value is plummeting.

BUF - RB Fred Jackson to undergo MRI
Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora
Updating a previous report, Buffalo Bills RB Fred Jackson (groin) is scheduled to undergo an MRI to determine the severity of his groin injury.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This sounds like a multiweek injury because of how quickly Jackson was ruled out for the game. Look for Anthony Dixon or Bryce Brown to get the start next week at the Jets.

BUF - RB C.J. Spiller has broken collarbone
Source: CBSSports.com - Jason La Canfora
Updating previous reports, Buffalo Bills RB C.J. Spiller (collarbone) has been initially diagnosed with a broken collarbone.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Spiller could return before the end of the season depending on the severity of the injury, but with his underperforming and the Bills sporadic usage of Spiller lately, he can be dropped in redraft leagues.

CIN - WR A.J. Green could play in Week 8
Source: NFL Network - Albert Breer and Ian Rapoport
Cincinnati Bengals WR A.J. Green (toe) received a positive prognosis during his meeting with a foot specialist this week and has a chance to play in Week 8.
    [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
A glimmer of hope for Green owners. Let's watch his practice participation next week with guarded optimism.
