WAS - Robert Griffin to return to starting job
Source: NFL.com - Dan Hanzus
Washington Redskins QB Robert Griffin III (ankle) 'looked fine' and had 'a little bounce in to his step' in on-field drills Wednesday, Oct. 15, and head coach Jay Gruden said Griffin will return to his starting quarterback job when doctors have cleared him to return to action. 'He looks good so far. He's making good progress as we knew he would, the type of worker he is. But making progress in the training room and making progress in the practice field are two entirely different things. We have to make sure he gets right both mentally and physically before he gets back on the field,' Gruden said.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This is the best move for Washington. Kirk Cousins has not been consistent, and the team needs to turn back to their franchise quarterback. Fantasy owners need to note that Griffin could be back in a couple of weeks.

NYG - RB Rashad Jennings hopes to return after bye
Source: ESPNNewYork.com - Dan Graziano
New York Giants RB Rashad Jennings (knee) has been working out and feels better, and he's hoping he can return after the team's Week 8 bye. 'Getting better every day,' Jennings said. 'Just working out in the gym, getting lost in my music and doing everything I need to do so that when I get back, I'll be back up to speed where I was.' He plans to start running this week.
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
This was the plan when the injury first hit. Jennings is the Giants best back, and he'll get his starting job back upon his return. Rookie Andre Williams could get a few short-yardage or goal-line carries as a backup behind Jennings.

DET - WR Calvin Johnson won't rush back
Source: ESPN.com - Michael Rothstein
Detroit Lions WR Calvin Johnson (ankle) said there is no point in rushing back to play until he is fully healed and ready to compete at a high level. Both he and head coach Jim Caldwell have been non-committal as to whether Johnson will play in Week 7 against the New Orleans Saints. Johnson said there is still pain 'lingering there.' 'Not beating it up,' Johnson said. 'Not getting out there, rolling it again, it definitely helps you. More and more you can stay off that particular area, the faster it can heal.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
Johnson needs to take all the time necessary to look like his old self. Fantasy owners of Matthew Stafford need to adjust accordingly as Stafford just doesn't play like we're used to when Johnson is out.

[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]

NO - RB Mark Ingram practices, expects to play
Source: New Orleans Times-Picayune - Evan Woodbery
New Orleans Saints RB Mark Ingram (hand) practiced in full Wednesday, Oct. 15, and said he plans to play in Week 7 against the Detroit Lions. RB Khiry Robinson had been taking most of the snaps in Ingram's absence. 'We'll see how we handle that on Sunday,' said head coach Sean Payton. 'Obviously we value depth at that position.'
[ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ [ FOOTBALLGUYS VIEW ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ] ]
We might see Ingram wear a small brace on his hand, but his fracture has healed completely. Before his injury, Ingram was the best Saints back to start for fantasy owners. In his first week back--against a tough Lions defense--we can only recommend him as a RB3/flex play in Week 7.
