How much trouble can he get into in Cleveland? Do they even have a night life there?

Now, the latest word is that Hoyer will actually start Monday, but that Manziel will play with the first team when he comes in. That last part is more important anyway because Manziel played with the second team last week. Now the Browns can compare apples to apples as they would like to decide on who their starter will be this season after this game.

It really does not change anything because both QBs will still get equal snaps with the starting team.

Looks like Hoyer was named the starter against the REDSKINS.

Right but read Post #37. Plan is to give both guys equal snaps with the first team.

The fact that neither Manziel and to a lesser extent, Bridgewater, haven't been able to take starting job yet is an indication of their ability at this point and the below average OLs they have. Hoyer and Cassell are not special.

According to Dan Patrick, Phil Simms and Jim Nantz are going to announce Cleveland at Pittsburgh week 1, leading to speculation CBS believes Manziel will start.

most of the time rookies are a non-factor in NFL.

If Browns go with Hoyer they may sneak into the playoffs.

                            Browns have a legit defense.

Manziel will start. I think he will be successful for a while. But the drinking will catch up to him after a while

It doesn't matter who starts the game but matters who finishes the game.

Well they certainly have a selection to choose from. You got teams with surplus of QBs (Cleveland), surplus of good receivers (Arizona), surplus of good running backs (Raiders)this year.

Does seem to be that those teams are stacked at those positions but in the NFL now I would like to have a lot of those positions, staying power in nfl not what it used to be

Cassel is playing too good, so he's most likely to start the regular season.
Nice game winning drive by Bridgewater.

Cassel is still PROBABLY going to be the starter in Week 1, but...

Teddy Bridgewater completed 16-of-20 passes for 177 yards and two touchdowns in Saturday night's preseason game against the Cardinals.

Bridgewater bounced back in a major way after struggling in his debut. He didn't have any turnovers and only took one sack. Bridgewater was decisive in the pocket and engineered an impressive two-minute drill in the fourth quarter that ended with a touchdown to Rodney Smith. Matt Cassel held serve against the Cardinals and is 17-of-22 passing for 210 yards with a touchdown through two preseason games. Bridgewater is still behind Cassel, but his performance this week keeps him in the mix the for the Week 1 job.

Doesn't mean anything, he is the #3 QB. He may start preseason Week 4 and get his work in then.

Ponder should be blowing every ACC defensive coordinator for making him look good at FSU. He should be working as a financial planner or some other layup job from an FSU alumni.
