Couldn't of put it any better. Who coaches the Lakers the next few years isn't relevant he'll be gone by the time they get good again which isn't in the next two seasons.

Byron Scott is the perfect fit for a team that cannot get any worse. The roster is already superior to the one they had last year...Scott is the only coach out there right now who will slap Kobe senseless...if he tries to boss hog his way through the season like he did when Dwight was there..He has already put Kobe on notice....playoffs are unlikely...but there should be an improvement this year...no way Scott allows this team to get blown out by 40 points by the Clippers at Staples...

george karl wouldve been a far better hire. he had a knack for making the playoffs devoid of multiple stars.

plus scott has said hes going to try and change kobes game which is a major red flag. kobe needs to play like he did in 2005 when he scored 35ppg and carried a lottery team to the playoffs.

Kobe will score 30 on 40% shooting playing the worst wing defense in the league like he has the last 5+ years, they'll be one of the worst teams in the league, and fans will blame everybody besides Kobe. Its amazing how a fanbase of adults can ignore all statistical evidence and convince themselves that when they lose its because of everyone besides Kobe and when they win its simply because of Kobe and nobody else. One of the top 10 players of all time and the most dominant player in NBA history played there and they still perform all kinds of mental gymnastics to convince themselves Shaq was simply a role player.
