Very good closer that bolsters the Tigers' only weakness.

Wouldn't go that far, Street still the better addition while Oakland is overall still the better team. The Angels looking damn good, wide open in the AL...Soria isn't the missing link.

Still, a solid pickup. Those 10 blown saves for Detroit are out the window now, the playoffs are gonna be good stuff.

I don't follow baseball that much. After the NBA playoffs... this is my off time. It's a waste of time capping a sport in which there is no fool proof system on winning.

How is that average? 411 strikeouts vs. 105 walks, 177 saves vs. 22 blown, 2.51 ERA and 1.05 WHIP. And those numbers are even better when taking away the injury-shortened 2013 season. This is basically his first full season since 2011, and he has 42 strikeouts vs. four walks in 33.1 innings and he leads all Major League relievers in FIP this year at a miniscule 1.07!

                            He's the piece they needed

Maybe a middle guy, because Coke and basically anyone else they bring in are as bad as they get

Tigers gave up a lot for him.

Those 2 pitchers are their #2 & #4 rated overall prospects.

Soria always made me a little nervous, but that's also true for how Nathan made me feel. Unless your name was Rivera, I think that's true with most closers.
