Masahiro Tanaka diagnosed with partially torn UCL

The Yankees are saying that the tear is small and Tanaka could return after six weeks following a platelet-rich plasma injection. The club noted that the right-hander has seen three doctors and none of them have recommended surgery at this point. However, general manager Brian Cashman also isn't ruling out an operation eventually being required.

This has been the theme of 2014. I imagine this scenario will lead to surgery. Big blow to my fantasy team

They put up a interesting Stat on baseball tonight...the average rest for a pitcher in MLB is 4 days while in Japan it is 6 days..

MLB may need to get pitchers more rest instead of these heavy workload..or your product will go the tank with more pitchers getting hurt
