Charlotte Hornets to offer Gordon Hayward Max Offer Sheet
4 years, $63 million
Jazz have been saying all along they would match any offer to retain him, we shall see.

Not even the first team to want him.
Old news and he's not going anywhere.
I'm just shocked he's such a hot item for that money.
It's really hard to rate his talent playing for an awful Jazz team who basically have no offensive threats.
I would be 90% sure if he leaves Utah his numbers will have to fall, unless he ends up with like the Bucks or 76ers.

He's cashing in on being white. That's why he's so "popular" this offseason, and that's why he's getting these max offers.

He's a solid player. He's not $16 million a year good.

Rockets might end up losing parsons over this max deal. If Hayward is going to get the max then someone will offer parsons the max, no? Might have been a bad move by rockets management

Just a horrible deal. They are paying big for POTENTIAL. Mj is obsessed with bringin white dudes into the game. Showing us some love for all of his damn shoes we bought over the years just to have him re-release them in tighter colors yeats later. I used to wait around at 5 a.m. to get thr retros, now you just roll in any footlocker in America and they got retros ready to go in any size.

Mavs just offered Parsons 3 years 45 mill. I would actually prefer Parsons to Hayward, but obviously neither are worth the contracts they received.

Why do they insist on signing garbage white players?
if your going to offer someone a max contract offer it to Lebron or Melo.

Hayward is not garbage, he is a nice overall player that does many things well but does not excel at anything. Consistently good across the board but not great.

he is a garbage product if you are paying $16 million for it.
i'm saying why not offer Melo that money, Charlotte needs a scorer.

Hornets will never get elite superstars as free agents, that money offered to Hayward is not enough to land upper echelon players.

Thats true LT.
The Hornets actually drafted Kobe Bryant originally and Kobe refused to play for Charlotte and demanded to be traded b/c he didnt think he would get enough media attention in charlotte.
Eli Manning did the same thing when he refused to play for San Diego and demanded to play for New York b/c they get more media coverage.

Looks like utah will save charlotte from this horrible contract and match it, good work from utah management since all he wanted was 13/p.a but they rejected it thinking no one would offer more

Utah had to match..they need players ...Salt Lake City is not a place a lot of cats want to go to unless you get drafted...basically a business move
