melo is a lot like pau gasol. when pau was the top dog with memphis, they never won anything... 0-12 in playoffs. then he goes to the lakers and kobe turns him to a back 2 back world champion.

if melo goes to the heat or lakers, he can help them win cause he will play second fiddle to the real stars.

I think Wade still has value to the Heat, he's just not a top tier player anymore. He still has moments of brilliance, but is on the accelerated depreciation schedule. Would he be willing to take a big pay cut to have a big 4? Who else would pay him big bucks at this stage of his career?

As previously mentioned, in spite of Anthony's flaws, he'd easily be second best player on Heat. While Kevin Love would be a better addition for Heat than Melo, sometimes you've got to take the best available top 10 player, if possible.

Wade is just old and broken down now but Melo would be stupid to leave money on the table like that and it's no guarantee that they will win a championship.
