            MVP = Most Valuable Player

Durant means more to the Thunder than Lebron does to the Heat.

Look at Rose - if CHI lost him that year, they wouldnt have won 20 games. Hence he was the "Most Valuable" Player.

Well deserved and this is coming from a huge LBJ fan.

Heat would be ASS without LeBron, get real.

Thats the only reason im skeptical about Durant getting it....
I hate LBJ with a passion too.

LeBron should win it but I understand why theyll give it to Durant.

Chicago wouldn't have won 20 games? Get the hell outa here. That's why they were the 4 seed this year WITHOUT ROSE AND WITHOUT DENG - pretty much their two best players imo. Your saying that a team of Deng Noah Boozer Gibson CJ Watson Kyle Korver (I think he was there?) among some others I've since forgotten couldn't win 20 games with Thibs?

Rose winning the MVP was one of the biggest jokes this league has ever seen....

His stats the year he won are the least impressive MVP numbers you will EVER see, as long as this league is around.

25 ppg, 7.7 assists, 4 rebounds, he carried that team that year, remember he's a pg.

Wade averaged 30, 7.5 dimes and 5 boards and 2 steals and 1 block one year and made the playoffs was .500 i think with the worst team and didn't win. You don't see stats like that anymore in nba. Guy has avg 25 5 and 5 for his career and no mvps to show for it and ROSE HAS AN MVP? terrible.

Bryant averaged 35.4 a game, dropped 60+ points multiple times in 1 YEAR, 50+ in 4 STRAIGHT games. 1st team all nba and 1st team all defense. A top 5 player in NBA history and 1 MVP? Fukin disgrace.

Jordan got snubbed at least once by Magic Johnson.

Chris Paul was in the discussion one year Lebron won it where he took a shit hornets team to the playoffs I think it was about his 3rd year and he was averaging about 23 and 11 dimes and shot 50 percent

Wade is the one guy I agree with you with, he was balling out of his mind and I would have liked to see him have gotten an MVP one of those years. When Rose won, they won 62 games, Bron and his 2 amigos have only eclipsed that once, winning 66 a couple years ago, Boozer missed about 20 games and Noah missed basically half the season, I know MVP is decided before conference finals, but he got them there, we see the last two seasons what they look like without him. I thought Jordan got snubbed way more than 1 year as it seemed they wanted to give it to someone else instead of him every year, wish theyed quit giving it to Bron, just dont think he should be this close to MJ in MVP awards but hey.

Kobe should have gotten more than one, I heard a Kobe fan say he didnt because of the rape issue, maybe thats why.

I agree something seems wrong with Nash with 2 and Kobe 1, statwise that year Kobe was amazing, I suppose they look at record alot, Lakers only finished 8 games above .500 that year, I know its mixing apples and oranges, but a record of 45-37 would have had you finishing 10th in the Western Conference this year and no playoffs. Lakers were a 7 seed that year. So perhaps they said yeah he has awesome stats but he was 'most valuable" only for himself.

I don't know man. When you take that team to the playoffs (every guy on that starting lineup list doesn't even play in the NBA anymore, and not because of age, because they suck...), I don't care what your record is, you take that type of team to the playoffs in the western conference, just wow.

Record has everything to do with it, yes. I'm tired of that thinking. Can't put these people's legacies in the hands of incompetent MVP voters

I found a good article about this, been awhile but they have given it to someone with bad regular season records. Probably no doubt Kobe didnt get it was because of the rape.
The NBA MVP has become one of the most highly debated topics following the conclusion of the regular season...

He carried his team on his back all year long, he deserves MVP.

Why should LeBron win it?? Durant had better #'s & played against far superior competition. Durant clear cut winner this yr.

had to give it to him but he might be mvp but Lebron best player in league by a very very wide margin

Durant carried OKC while Westbrook was out this year.

Plus, like someone else said, Durant played most of his game against the West where as Lebron played more games against weaker teams.

Lebron is a better player but this year Durant deserves it.

Yep, the local OKC media won this series for the home team. Brooks and Westbrook would have lost this series without the help from outside the team.

Shaq should have won more than 1.

                                                            Wilt probably a few more.

But whatever...better than lebron winning again.
