So Russell Wilson Will Now Be the 3rd Highest Paid QB on the Seahawks This Year!
Does that make him the third stringer behind Jackson and Pryor?

He will get paid eventually but that does really suck. What if he blows out his knee first year of the game. what happens then

I am? REally?
LOL you stupid fukkkkk
Anyone with a clue can look past the SuperBowl the Seahawks won and know it was 95% because of the defense.
Same thing with Kaepernick in SF, another avergae at best QB.
If the Seahawks defense ever weakens, you will see what kind of QB he really is.
His decision making is awful, his accuracy is below average.
But for now, Carroll only needs a bitch to snap the ball to win games.
Russel Wilson's ring is comparable to Dilfer's with the Ravens.

anyone with a clue? lol you seem to be the lone outlier who thinks he's trash. Clearly you haven't 1.) looked at his stats that say different than you or 2.) watched him enough to see that his ability and skill is well above average

LOL. Get back to me when they need him to throw and have no defense bud.
This guy won't be starting in 3 years.

Both guys have been in the league longer than Wilson and of course with the new wage scale his earning potential is capped somewhat low so it makes sense in the end.

To say not top 20 is not taking into account how bad qb's are in the nfl once you get passed the first 8 or 10
I don't think he's some amazing qb but there are many who are worse because they are shit.

Can't they offer him a long-term deal or extension now and get him some guaranteed money. If they can and don't do right by him then if I was him I'd play it out and then say screw you. He won the Super Bowl, pay da man!

They can't even begin negotiations until after his 3rd year because of the new CBA. Seattle will do all they can next offseason to re-sign him, barring some unforeseen events(s)

He makes more in endorsements and jersey sales. A salary is not the only source of income. His autographed jerseys sales are probably more than the other QB's salaries.

Wilson is a good QB not top 8, but he is in that 9-15 range, the reason he doesn't look good is because Seattle asks him to be a game manager and not win the games because of their team he has shown in the NFL and in college he can throw when asked, and they might never need him to considering they will find a way to keep most of their D intact most of the time, cutting Lynch next year will save 5 million and their back-up RB is just as capable of starting so i expect Seattle to be a top 3 NFL team for at least the next 5 years.

It's hard to distinguish in my opinion how good the kid actually is.
The most important thing I grade him on... he's a team player. A team leader. He just does his job. I don't recall a game in which he ridiculously turned the ball over. Basically if we're talking about the same topic... about a guy worth the money and/or leader... I didn't like Joe Flacco. I didn't think he deserved a heavy pay. I think he just got hot at the right time and winning super bowls is where it's at.
So opinions may vary... it happens. But Wilson knows his role. And that's all you can ask of the kid.

not sure about top 20 but he definitely isn't a top 15 QB
in no specific order
Rodgers
brady
Eli
Peyton
Brees
Flacco
Romo
Luck
Big Ben
Ryan
Cam
Rivers
Cutler
Stafford
Kapernick
all quarterbacks I rate higher than Wilson, and I didn't even include the best game manager in the league Alex Smith.

Evaluating QB play based on fantasy football stats is stupid. Kid is a great player. Just don't have him on your fantasy team.

Other than Eli, everyone of these qb's shits on Wilson. Not even close. Even an aging BigBen and a choking Romo.

Lol your obvious hatred and animosity toward Russell Wilson is quite comical. Using phrases like "shits on" and "not even close" is a great way to discredit yourself as anyone halfway intelligent about football.

I think the amazing thing in this thread is realizing Seattle has three black quarterbacks on their roster.
This has to be a groundbreaking moment.

His potential to be great is there .he's a proven winner...he doesn't turn over ball ..he doesn't choke in big games..I like him I think he will just keep getting better. His offense is in so cal now working out at the beach/gym..Wilson started watching film two weeks after Superbowl. He's a Gamer..my opinion.
