Eric Gordon on Verge of Losing Starting Job?
Well, maybe not as he does still lead the Pelicans with his 15.4 points per game, but Gordon has a reputation for not playing unless he is at 100%, and while he has sat out the last three games with a bruised hip that most observers do not consider serious, former Rookie of the Year Tyreke Evans has gone off, averaging 20.2 points, 8.2 assists and 5.6 rebounds in his last five games with the first two performances coming off the bench and the last three coming while starting in place of Gordon.

Never was huge on Gordon, even when he plays (which is extremely rare) he just doesn't seem to have much passion for the game. Glad to see Tyreke playing towards his potential with the change of scenery.

As a Pelicans fan, I don't trust or like this guy.

        Cancer to the team.

Thought the guy was going to be a future All-Star but hasn't really done much since getting paid.

Gordon is not leading the Pelicans in scoring Davis and Anderson both have more than him

You're right, maybe 25 games are needed at this point to qualify for scoring title? Gordon is listed as leading scorer and he has played 26 games. The other two guys averaging more have played 22 and 20 respectively.

penetrate the Pelicans. They've ****** me so hard this year. I'm about 1-15 betting for and against Pels. It's been unreal.

Yep that's why. Pelicans have played 29 games so 25 games are needed to qualify. http://www.nba.com/leader_requirements.html

gordon really hasn't been the same since his injuries

i believe he was once the 3rd best SG behind kobe/wade at one point but not sure he's even considered above average these days

Biggest problem is Coach Monty on that team.

So Gordon came back and started Wednesday while Evans came off the bench. But look and compare.

                                Code:
PLAYER MIN PTS	REB	A TO +/-
                                Eric Gordon 29:11	12	5	3	4	-24
                                Tyreke Evans 27:53	16	7	3	1	-18
The only negative for Evans was the -18 +/-, but Gordon was worse! And note how close the minutes were despite Gordon starting.
