    blockbuster AP trade
ok so typically I might not look into this trade because I'd give up quite a bit, but the more I think about it, the more I like trading for peterson:

    I give: s. ridley, j. reed, chiefs D
    I get: A. peterson, possibly cowboys D

    Heres my current lineup:

    QB-cutler/locker
3WR- demariyus thomas, p garcon, desean jackson
2RB- s ridley(bye), ray rice, (backups mike james, andre brown, s greene)
1te- jordan reed, (backup tim wright)
    1flex- torrey smith
    def- kc chiefs, (titans backup)

so I am thinking of giving up ridley, reed, and chiefs D for peterson. If I can get cowboys defense in return, that would be great. I still have titans D, and I'm not opposed to streaming if I have to. The main thing about chiefs D is that they play denver twice, san diego, and indy. not sure if their value will ever be higher right now.

as for ridley, I do love him and hes been great recently, but vereen is coming back and belichick has gotten to be worse than shanahan as of late. AP is obvously the top back in the game and doesnt look like he's slowing down.

the key factor is that I will miss jordan reed at TE. Tim wright has looked pretty solid though as a fill in. What do you guys think? Its a downgrade at TE and defense for sure, but I will have peterson and ray rice as my 2 running backs. pretty solid combo if rice stops running like he's stuck in quicksand. what would you do?

I don't think he would make that trade. Also, you don't need to be carrying 2 defenses nor do you need to carry 2 TE's.

i'm carrying 2 defenses because the chiefs are on bye, and the titans are a solid backup. i'm carrying 2 tight ends strictly because i'm looking to make this deal. if i lose reed, i'd like to have a viable backup which i think wright is. not to mention, wright in yahoo is listed as wr/te so i can fill him in during WR bye weeks.

that being said, i do think i can get this deal done. he was the one that originally offered it because he is looking to tighten up his entire roster for playoffs and he already has solid rbs behind AP. he is currently running jared cook out there every week. i can see how this trade helps his team, but thinking i'd be crazy to pass up a chance at AP. i just want to make sure i'm not giving up too much of my own team

If he is up for that trade do it now before he changes his mind or someone tops your offer.

I hate people who veto trades. Veto should be reserved for collusion and outright ridiculous trades. This isn't ridiculous.

Everyone knows the Chiefs have a brutal stretch coming up. Broncos twice in 3 weeks after their BYE, with Chargers sandwiched in. So they have no value in the next four weeks. I'm pretty sure that is why you are trying to dump them.

oh no question I am trying to dump the chiefs D. but I hardly see this trade as "not close"...its going to make both teams better, he will be fine at RB and ridley has been a stud recently, and he literally has no tight end right now, and reed is a clear cut TE1. why is this so ridiculous? I mean he suggested it to me in the first place, it's not like im trying to scam him out of players. vetoing this trade would be stupid, people just veto trades because they wish they could be making it themselves, this isnt collusion or trying to do anything to hurt the league. our league is commissioner approved anyway and no veto for this exact reason

I trade my D out almost weekly. What good will Chiefs D do you when they face the Broncos twice the next couple of weeks? Hopefully he doesn't realize this because you're already getting an A and giving up a C.

This is absurd, not even close. He would be giving up WAY more than you in terms of expected points. The amount of points AP will get over Ridley will be vastly more than Reed over Cook and the Chiefs D over a random plug-in.

If you can do that trade, do it. Chiefs DST will falter in the second half of the season as their schedule gets much tougher (Denver twice, SD twice, etc.). Ridley is finally coming on strong, but Vareen is going to be back after the bye. Your loss will be at TE. I like Wright, but I think Reed has a chance to be in that next tier of TE's behind Graham and Gronk.

But yeah, definitely do that trade.
