Can you get away with just trading Nicks for Gates straight up?

The Moreno/Nicks for Gates/Spiller is a tough call. I'd lean slightly towards rejecting it.

No. He wants Moreno.

I never use Moreno, I only need him for week 8 BYE. So that is where Spiller or Gio would play.

Plus Nicks is nerve racking every week, and wouldn't mine someone else putting up with that.

Josh Gordon as moved to my WR2. Steven Jackson will be my Flex starting Week 7.

TE is killing me. Gates would give me a solid TE. He is putting up top 5 numbers at TE.

I'd do it. You get an immediate upgrade at TE. Moreno for Spiller is a wash in my opinion, and there is no risk owning Spiller since you already have Fred Jackson. Nicks isn't even your 3rd best WR now that Blackmon is back.

in week 8 spiller is @ the saints, who are coming off a bye.
Bernard is home against the Jets, who are tough against the run,

for week 8, I'd still rather have bernard.

serious? i would do this trade in a heartbeat...you are getting a first round talent in CJ, has he started slow? sure, but did you even draft knowshon? you either got him late or got him off waivers...nicks looks old and slow, he had one big week and is very injury prone...when i read this, my first thought was, gates and spiller are the two best players in this trade and its not even close. i'd do this trade now before he changes his mind

I would look for a better team to trade with you can sell high on moreno but spiller is not a solution he's playing hurt and is very close to hurting himself for good. Nicks will see targets and plenty due to the shitty defense and run game. Gates always gets hurt. i would stand pat and not perform a trade.

I'd probably do it based soley on the upside. Since you don't use Knowshown and don't need Spiller you can let him sit on sidelines and if he gets healthy and busts out in second half then great. If not you got a bye week replacement and a useful TE. Just remember Gates is an eyelash away from some form of nagging injury himself. Good luck

Agreed, if you can get Graham then just hold off on the trade. He should put up similar production to Owen Daniels. Schaub pretty much only looks to his TE's when he gets in the redzone. Read some article that said pretty much all his passing TDs this year are to his TE's.

Trade complete. Waiting on it to clear. Might get forced through for game tomorrow.

I think this improves my team. Needed a consistent TE. If Spiller gets healthy, he has very good upside. As a stashed RB.
