I don't think so unless you league counts holds. He still has tons of control issues and Benoit is clearly the better player, but Leyland may have a quick hook as Benoit hasn't amassed saves earlier in his career and could talk him self into pulling the plug on the better pitcher.

Leyland has stated that he will not be the closer. (for now)

But I think if Benoit struggles.... He will get a shot at closing.

Because, earlier in the season Leyland has said that he really likes Benoit as a set-up guy.
