    NIKOLA PEKOVIC, C, MIN

He averaged 15.4 points, 8.5 rebounds, 0.8 blocks and shot 54.7 percent as a starter last year despite playing through a painful foot injury. He underwent offseason surgery and now appears 100 percent. With Kevin Love (hand) out at least 10 games, Pekovic will get even more offensive chances and he has no real competition for minutes at center.

    KENNETH FARIED, PF, DEN
He earned a major role through hard work, effort and production in both games and practice. Note that Faried started 39 games last year, but saw just 24.6 minutes in those contests due to the presence of Al Harrington and others. He still averaged 11.0 points, 8.2 rebounds, 0.9 blocks and 0.8 steals while shooting 59.0 percent. Now Harrington is gone and Faried projects to see a major bump in minutes. He could average a double-double with one block and one steal.

    KLAY THOMPSON, SG, GSW
After the Ellis trade last year, Thompson proved that he can be a prototypical “two” at the NBA level. In 29 starts as a 21-year-old rookie, he averaged 18.1 points, 3.2 rebounds. 3.0 assists, 2.1 3-pointers and 1.1 steals. His ability to shoot the ball is unique.

    PAUL GEORGE, SG/SF, IND

Last year, he was a top-40 player despite averaging just 12.1 points in 29.7 minutes per game. That’s because he made 1.4 treys, grabbed 5.6 boards, shot 80.2 percent from the line and got 1.6 steals per game. Now he’s 22 years old and Danny Granger’s knee woes are cropping up. Expect a major bump in minutes and shot attempts. The future is now.

    DEMARCUS COUSINS, PF, SAC
In 32 games after the All-Star break, Cousins averaged 19.8 points, 10.6 rebounds, 1.1 blocks, 1.7 steals and shot 45.9 percent from the field. How unique are those numbers? Last season only one other player averaged at least 10 rebounds, one block and one steal

    MICHAEL BEASLEY, SF, PHX
    run and gun in phoenix

    BYRON MULLENS, PF/C, CHA
Last year, he started 25 games but attempted just 1.6 treys in those games. In four preseason games, he’s attempting 8.0 treys per game and making 43.7 percent of them. That’s 3.5 3-pointers per game. Keep in mind that Mullens is 7’0/275, locked into the starting power forward job and will block at least 0.8 shots per game on accident.

    Jrue Holiday - Philadelphia 76ers

Holiday is only 22, and looks to get a huge stat boost this year. A detriment to his amount of possessions a game – Andre Iguodala, has left. And one of the best big men in the league in Andrew Bynum has joined the team. Jrue has no opposition as the ball-handler of the team, and there doesn’t look like there is much than can get in the way of Jrue having a career year. He’s projected as a 7th round point guard, but don’t let him drop past the mid 5ths or 6th.

Kawhi Leonard – San Antonio Spurs
Leonard looks like he could have a breakout season this year. He had a quietly efficient season last year as a rookie, and looked like he was there to do only what was needed. Now, as San Antonio continues to get older and Coach Popovich continues to wane away minutes for Manu and Duncan, Kawhi Leonard will have space and time to be a great all around rotisserie fantasy player. He shoots at a high percentage from the field and from 3, and should get many more three point opportunities. He gives you rebounds and some steals as well, with little turnovers

    Aaron Afflalo - Orlando Magic

    Glen Davis – Orlando Magic

Lou Williams (ATL) – ESPN Rank: 72, Yahoo Rank: 99 – Williams is my favorite SG sleeper this season, if he can grab the starting spot in Atlanta. Right now he’s competing with Anthony Morrow, John Jenkins and maybe a little with Devin Harris for time in the rotation, but I’m expecting Williams to win the spot and get 30-32 minutes a night. Lou played in Philadelphia last season where he was a fairly high usage player with a 27.4 mark in that stat. With Joe Johnson leaving a big usage hole in the lineup, Williams could post something in the 25-27 range while putting up 17-19 points, 3-4 assists and 3-4 rebounds a night.

O.J. Mayo (DAL) – ESPN Rank: 93, Yahoo Rank: 102 – Mayo had a great first couple of seasons in Memphis, but last year he was moved into a timeshare role and it didn’t suit his game, or attitude, at all. He moves to the Mavericks this season and should claim the starting shooting guard spot over the aging Vince Carter. Mayo averaged 17 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal per game in his first two seasons in the league and if he can get 33-35 MPG, he should once again approach that level. A couple weeks of training camp should tell us all we want to know about the distribution of SG minutes in Dallas, so keep an eye on it.

Rip Hamilton (CHI) - ESPN Rank: 225, Yahoo Rank: 281 – I’ve seen reports saying that Hamilton has been looking good and seems to finally be healthy. He should start the season at SG for the Bulls, and without Derrick Rose the Bulls will really need Hamilton to step up and score. He’s fairly one dimensional, but if you are looking for points and threes late, he could be a steal.

Dorell Wright: While we’re focusing on the Bynum effect, why not bring DWright into the discussion? I show Wright projected at #115, based on getting 26 min/gm. I think that is ridiculously low.

Two years ago, DWright finished as the #29 player in fantasy basketball. A mid-third rounder in value. I think there is a distinct possibility that he could return to those levels under Doug Collins.

There was a lot of talk in the Bay Area media that the league made an adjustment to DWright last season. That he was being guarded more closely at the three point line. I think that talk was BS. DWright came into the lockout season way out of shape, and never succeeded in winning the trust of Mark Jackson. And Mark Jackson proved himself one of the most incompetent coaches in the league, who refused to let the Warriors — and DWright in particular — play their uptempo game.

Derrick Favors: I have no reason to suspect that Al Jefferson or Paul Milsap will get injured this season, except that they have been injury prone in their careers. Favors is a physical monster, and you could see the light bulb begin to turn on for him late last season. He has expressed a desire for more minutes, and just may wind up getting them. Currently projected at #129 and 27 minutes, I might risk one of my last picks on him.

Depends on what the other teams have. You have a lot of guys that are playing for teams where they are the 3rd option at best. Nash could struggle in Brown's offense early.

                Nice cut and paste tt.

You might make the playoffs however thats about . Nash and Garnett are on my no draft list, Nash due to his reduction #s due to playing with Kobe/Dwight and Garnett aging and injury prone. Overall a very mediocre team.
