Because CJ Spiller isn't a lead back who can handle 20 touches a game for a full 16 game season.

Everyone in Buffalo knows CJ is by far the more explosive back than Fred Jackson. I'm sure even Gailey knows. But CJ just isn't built to be a lead back in the NFL. He is better used like how Darren Sproles is used. A descent amount of carries, along with a few pass plays. No way would CJ survive a 16 game season getting a normal RB workload.

And Fred is too good to bench. I'm still sticking with Fred getting more touches throughout the season, however CJ may still end up with more yards. Fred looks like he'll get most the goalline carries as well.

Anyone who kept Spiller and didn't trade him is an idiot. Ignorant Spiller fans actually thought the Bills would bench Fred Jackson just because Spiller had 2 breakout games. Teams don't bench their captain because he got hurt and the replacement put together 2 good games. And it's not like Fred was a nobody, he was a top 5 RB up until he got hurt last year.

CJ.Spiller did help me at the end of the year, last season. But your right, he isn't a workhorse. He could probably do it a couple games here and there, but not 16 games like you said.

Call me crazy, but I still like Fred over Spiller ROS. Maybe it is just because I own Fred, but I see Fred getting more touches throughout the year, and getting goal line carries.

I'm rolling with Fred unless I can miraculously get Felix Jones off of waivers (i'm 9th in waiver order). Might try to trade for Felix if someone else picks him up. I have DeMarco, I need that Felix handcuff!
