Worth a try on Friday get 57 Hits win $5.6 Million!
Been playing the Beat the Streak, but this Friday they have a promo thats worth taking a shot ( longshot)

On Friday, September 28, play MLB.com Beat the Streak in a Day for your shot to win $5.6 Million.
Correctly select 57 players to get a hit on 9/28 and you could take home $5.6 million. Not a bad day's pay!

yeah I did the auto fill, than took a little time and subsituted in some players. The drawback I just realized is what if a player doesnt get in the game. So I pretty much eliminated any catchers that will play 2 to 3 days as they might not play on Friday. GL!

We tried to give millions of dollars away. We have really tried. Again. However, it is with a sense of anguish that today we announce for the 12th consecutive season no fan will achieve fantasy baseball immortality by surpassing the legendary consecutive games hitting streak record of 56 and claiming a $5.6 million grand prize in the process. Maybe it is harder than originally envisioned when we debuted Beat The Streak in 2001 with a $10,000 grand prize.
Since then, we have offered more than $16 million in combined prizes, certainly the largest sum ever for a fantasy baseball game, to the tens of millions of streaks started, only one of which ever has come within striking distance, seven games shy of matching the 56-game record (49 in 2007).
Fans keep trying, fortunately, as registrants are up 35 percent in 2012, and we continue to introduce new ways to play, all in an effort to finally present $5.6 million to the grand prize winner.
So, even though there are no players left with the ability to win the traditional game this year, we're announcing a new edition called Beat The Streak In A Day Presented By Scotts. It begins and ends tomorrow, commemorating the one-year anniversary of baseball's most dramatic regular season finish.
How To Play Beat The Streak In A Day
On Friday, September 28, fans may pick 57 Major League players who they think may get a hit in a game on that day. If anyone succeeds at going 57-for-57 with their picks, MLBAM will award that $5.6 million grand prize.
Fans may enter their own 57 picks to play or have MLBAM's statistical algorithms auto select 57 players from those hitters ranked among the top 150 in the game.
We believe this is our chance to erase 12 years of failed consecutive game hitting streaks in a single day.

        lol.

only way to have any sort of chance (and it'd be like 1 in 5000) would be to wait for some lineups to be released and pick mostly guys from the early games.

Their quick pick was junk because their "algorithms" select for you a bunch of guys who are out for the season.

        Five people hit 43.

I got 32. All my guys played but one (Josh Willingham)

Yes I waited and filled the lineups as they came out until 18:30 than the system started acting up.So I only had like 6 players in for the late games. Got a 37 or 38 I think

It's just funny how they keep lying. They really really want to give the money away, except they make ridiculously hard contests.

It's like saying "we're really generous, if you hit a perfect bracket you get a million."

They make this stuff because they know no one will hit it.

"Maybe it is harder than originally envisioned when we debuted Beat The Streak in 2001 with a $10,000 grand prize."

Either they're lying or they're morons. Harder than originally envisioned????? Did they really think someone was going to hit the streak? You have to be really on top of it, because you never know when a manager will sit a player and then pinch hit him to screw you. And some days there just aren't any good picks, and you're not allowed to skip days.

Then to insult everyone even more, they pull this stunt. Yeah, pick 57 players to get a hit in one day. If any of them don't play or don't get a hit, you lose.

I agree Yisman, think we will just stick to the streak on espn. Until these guys just are willing to pay the top streak at the end of the season.

looks like they are giving out 10k to the longest streak, so that's something at least

bummer for me yesterday, I'm trying to get more points and I picked two Rangers. Their game was PPD and by the time it was, they wouldn't let you switch out of the picks (since it was past 'game time').

It's just a joke because they know no one has a chance at actually winning and they instead pretend like they're generously giving away money here.
