Gamecocks Qb played last week at Kentucky and all of their offense is back. Have to go with the cocks here, but like everything else.

How is SC a mess right now? Garcia is a non-issue. He hasnt been really with the program for 2 weeks now. He left after being benched to attend his grandfathers funeral. He didnt return until Friday and was dismissed on Monday. Guys know what happened and the fact it was his 6th time. I dont understand people who make bets with false information that doesnt really effect game anyway. Good luck.

Nomar - did you catch the Louisville v. NC game last week? I was on NC laying the points @ Home and Louisville really surprised me. Their defense is stout and their offense isn't bad either against a good NC defense - almost doubling the first downs of NC and matching NC's offensive yards. UC has had 2 weeks to prepare for this game and its being played at Paul Brown Stadium - not Nippert, which is my opinion diminishes the home field advantage since UC games don't have pro game attendance. Plus, Louisville is a short drive away, so their fans will be there too.

I don't know what to think because Louisville has lost to some pretty bad teams but for some reason showed up against NC, which has beat Rutgers & had a narrow loss at GT. Usually betting UC is an automatic for me on my weekend card but I think I might just watch & enjoy the game this week...too many other games look appealing. BOL!

"South Carolina quarterback Stephen Garcia has been dismissed from the No. 15 Gamecocks as a result of a positive test for marijuana and alcohol."

Thats a pretty big loss for South Carolina. Without Garcia they lose today.

A big loss? Because he was outplayed in off-season and then was benched before he was dismissed? Him being dismissed has 0% effect on SC. The only way it becomes a factor is if Shaw gets hurt. The fact you say without Garcia they lose today proves you have no idea what youre talking about.

Im not a S.Carolina fan at all. I do however follow the SEC closely and truely believe that SC is a much better and more consistant team without Garcia.

If you believe South Carolina is worse off without Garcia you need to stop betting college football now. Have you seen any of the games Garcia started in this year?

Garcia has been calling the plays much more then Shaw. Shaw has faced awful D and has not been truely tested. If you remember Shaw playing against East Carolina opening game HE SUCKED. When Garcia took over, the gamecocks came back to win. I just dont trust Shaw at this time especially on the road against a stout D. Mississippi St only allowed LSU to score 19 points and almost won that game. Also came close to beating Auburn on the road a team that South Carolina lost to at home.

If the gamecocks can establish a good running game which they can obviously then that should give Shaw more time to throw. That is obvious thinking. BUT don't count out Mississippi states D. The bulldogs can keep this game close and win. Definately.

i just think that locker room is a mess. there is more to the story than garcia. and after a blowout win they will set themselves up for a let down. miss st has good defense. thats not one of my top picks anyways just gonna fool around with it at ml. not much at 12 i like today but i love love cincy. they can plain put up points. im throwing out that n carolina game last week. nc has no where mear the offense cincy has.

If you lose a guy like Garcia who has led this team and put in a backup who hasnt proven himself yet then i consider that team with a big disadvantage. Especially on the road against a solid D.

Look - you can say whatever you like but bottom line is this : South Carolina's backup is starting this game and he has not proved himself. Garcia - has led this team to victories many times and I'd rather have him in then Shaw.

Been making plenty of money on college ball thanks for the advice though, I expect to make some good cash on this game. either way, good luck.

Backup? I disagree with that comment. Connor Shaw earned the starting position in preseason. About the ECU game, he moved the ball on the first drive into the redzone and then he had a fluky fumble. Next possesion Lattimore fumbles. You cannot honestly say he was horrible in the first quarter of a game and therefore deem he's not a good QB. I dont care whether youre playing against Alabama's defense or Bent Elbow States, you still have to put the ball on the money and hit a receiver. Shaw has proven he can do that, while Garcia struggled this year. And to be honest, how can you say a guy who had 41 career ints in 41 career games played is a good QB? He had some big games for SC, but his inconsitency proved to be too much. Shaw provides an added dimension for this offense and aslong as he avoids big hits he'll play decent. No one expects him to be Manning or Andrew Luck, he just needs to utilize his weapons, sometihng Garcia couldnt do because he couldnt get them the ball. I dont know how this game will play out, but to bet on a team simply because one player was dismissed is ludacris.
