Two picks for week one and might add more later.

Alabama/Kent St.
Take Kent St +37

Nick Saban is hosting his Alma mater and I'm almost certain he won't attempt to run the score up. Kent State even sent some players down to Tuscaloosa to help clean up efforts from the April
27th tornado. I think Bama will jump out to a large early lead and sit on it, resting the starters in the 2nd half. Kent State returns 9 starters on offense and 7 on defense. Although they were piss poor last year offensively, I look for their offense to be improved. They won't win the game but I feel it's a safe bet that they'll cover the +37 for the game.

The second pick will be posted on Thursday. It's too big a pain in the ass to type this on my iPhone.

I'm learning Oregon over LSU although they currently have the line down on that game. I'm also looking at Georgia/Boise State. Although I would like to see Georgia win, I'm leaning Boise St. I think Georgia comes out flat bc Richt isn't the coach people make him out to be.

But for now, my only play is Kent State.

I disagree on Bama/Kent St... I really don't see Kent scoring much more then maybe a field goal or 2 not to mention I think the Bama D will be responsible for 14-21 points (ints, fumbles, field position etc). Noway Saban ask his guys to quit playing the second half. He can't just kneel the ball. I'm think 48-3 similar type of game as last year with San Jose St. I am also on the over. BOL on your picks

I agree with you on the over. Unfortunately I just joined with RebateWager for football season and they don't even have totals out yet. They suck. I've gotta find a new book or go back to DSI

Didn't have time to come out with a second pick last week bc I'm in the process of selling my house.

Here's my picks for today

South Carolina -3. Better coach, better QB, better team overall. Georgia is a joke this year and Richt is on his way out. I'm going 8 units on this play!!! I'm that confident

Alabama -10. Although I'm a die hard Auburn fan, Alabama has great value here. Alabama is a far superior team and the spread is only -10 bc it's at Penn St. Bama should be favored by 14. I see this being a low scoring game. The under on the Penn St TT might be a nice play also but I'm not playing it. I'm going two units on Bama -10

My mind sees Miss St winning today but I'm rooting for my Tigers. I don't bet against Auburn but if I did, I'd lean Miss State in this game.

Well I won with LSU the other night but I forgot to post it in this thread. I did post it before game time in Machine Choice's thread but I won't count it here.

First pick is Florida -9.5

They're playing Tennessee folks and although Tyler Bray has a 6-1 record, he's never started a game outside of Tennessee. The Swamp? His first true away test is the Swamp?! Hahaha he's gonna be so overwhelmed by the end of the first quarter, he'll have already thrown a pick most likely. Florida takes care of business today. They're starting to gel as a team and will likely make a run for the East title.

Second pick is outside the SEC but in the state of Florida.
Oklahoma -3. Come on folks, don't overthink this! Common sense applies here just as it did in the LSU game. Stop trying to be so damn sharp. Oklahoma is a far superior team and Landry Jones is gonna have a field day throwing to his receivers. Yes, yes...I know there are some questions about Jones road starts and he has been known to throw a few picks but today he goes into Tallahassee with his mind on his money and his money on his mind. He knows he's gotta make up ground on Andrew Luck for the H.T. honor. Tonights his time to shine and he will.

Third and final pick is
Kentucky -4.5. Louisville is struggling this year and Kentucky is playing better than most expected. I see this one being close but I think Kentucky will pull away in the end to cover.

Try 2-1 there buddy. I've got a big play on OSU but idk if it's even gonna be played. Also have Stanford at the half --5.5 and game -9.5 but none of these will count if they win.

LSU -5.5 BIG!!!!!! They're a better ball club than West Virgina..hands down!

Georgia -10 Although Georgia sucks this year, Ole Miss sucks even worse!!

East Carolina -14 I know they're not an SEC team but UAB is my local team and I watch them pretty close. They're going to get slaughtered!

East Carolina 1H -7 In two previous games they've held HT leads over South Carolina and Virgina Tech. I look for them to jump ahead on UAB with no looking back!!

Well, after that East Carolina 7+ turnovers debacle...I'm 5-5-1 if you include that small parlay I played. East Carolina was the right side to play. There's no reason they should have had 7 turnovers with the last one being at the goal line in the second half. Had they scored, we'd have had the cover. Really hard to keep an objective mind with sports betting. There are alot of games influenced by outside forces (i.e. Vegas)

Today's picks:

Alabama -3. Buy the hook. Alabama is the better team and they are on a mission. I don't see them losing until LSU. I'm going big today on Bama. Played 12 units between the 1H and game.

Second pick is Georgia -7 I see this game being very close until late in the secomd half. Georgia will pull away. Richt is still on the hot seat.

The last pick is Troy -17 over UAB
