LINE IS AT 2.5 RIGHT NOW WHERE I PLAY, SO I PLACED MY WAGER ON WVU. I THINK THE MOUNTAINEERS ARE ONE OF THOSE TEAMS THAT HAVE GOTTEN BETTER AS THE SEASON WENT ON. YOUNG TALENTED QB IN GENO SMITH BOTH WITH ARM AND LEGS, WR'S AUSTIN AND SAUNDERS ARE PLAYERS, AND A SENIOR BACK IN DEVINE THAT CAN TAKE ANY PLAY TO THE HOUSE MAKES WE THINK WVU WINS PRETTY EASILY. DEVINE IS FINALLY CLOSE TO 100%. I SAY EASILY, BECAUSE WVU DEFENSE IS SOLID AT EACH EVEL. I KNOW THAT THEIR BEST DB IS OUT, BUT I ASO HONESTY BELIEVE NC STATE IS A VERY OVERRATED TEAM. AVERAGE AT EVERY POSITION EXCEPT QB. EVEN THERE I AM NOT SOLD.

PEOPLE SAY THAT THE COACHING CHANGE MAY DISTRACT WVU, BUT I SEE IT COMPLETELY DIFFERENT. FIRST THE CHANGE ISNT HAPPENING UNTIL NEXT YEAR, AND SECOND, YOU DONT THINK THE O-COORDINATOR IS GOING TO THROW EVERYTHING AND THE KITCHEN SINK AT NC STATE??? I DO.

THE ACC IS JUST AS WEAK AS THE BIG EAST IMO. I GIVE EDGE IN DEFENSE, SPECIAL TEAMS, RUNNING GAME TO THE MOUNTAINEERS WITH QB PAY SIGHTLY TO NC STATE, BUT NOT MUCH.

I DO REALIZE THE CENTER FOR WVU IS OUT BECAUSE HE IS DUMB AND IS ACADEMICALLY INELIGIBLE, BUT THE ONE BEHIND HIM IS JUST AS GOOD.

Prediction: WVU 34 NC STATE 23

agree. WVU, 26-16, i say. Russell Wilson's good, but he's mistake-prone, and if any defense can make NCSU one-dimensional and take advantage of Wilson being turnover-prone, it's WVU's. i'm also on the under smaller, and every post i see calling the over a lock makes me like it a little bit better.

A few more tidbits, WVU Bruce Irvin has had an awesome year as a JUCO transfer ranking 5th in the nation in sacks. Russel Wilson has a little elusiveness in him but that gets him in trouble sometimes where he attempts to escape and takes a sack rather than throwing the ball away. WVU and NC State are pressure defenses that rank tied for 3rd with one another in sacks per game. That being said WVU is a little better at protecting their QB. Sacks and turnovers will be the name of the game, NC State is one of the best at stripping the football and WVU has a hard time protecting the ball.

These teams are very similar in that they play attacking defense and play a clean game penalty wise. The contrast will be if the WVU defense can limit Russel Wilson, like UCF and Clemson did, by getting pressure to him. Both teams try to win the time of possession battle so I like the under more than the side personally, I see it being a 24-20 type of game.

Geno Smith is a terrible passer and severly overrated. Devine not what he was last year. Denfense is overrated also. Love NC state straight up. WV gets smoked tonight. NC State has a high octaine offense and a real QB. WV got dominated by Syracuse at homes for Gods sake. They beat a terrible Pitt team to win the Big East which is not better than the ACC this year. Easy pick.
