How ya think that? NM scored half their points because Air Force laid it on the ground in their own territory. I agree that New Mexico maybe should have taken a few more deep shots, but if Air Force hangs onto the ball - they probably would have won this game outright. We'll never know of course.

Exactly what I mean. They should of blew them out, because of all the turnovers. Air Force's secondary was soft, and New Mexico didn't take advantage of it.

When you win the TO battle like they did, when you have the good field position, and when you keep dropping the ball and when you have a moron coach who becomes conservative at the end when he does not need to then I would say it is something of a gift.....

teams that are +3 in TO usually win by more than 3...especially at home.

That's the most difficult variable to assess in capping, drives me absolutely nuts. You can analyze matchups and the perceived strengths and weaknesses of teams, but it's impossible to account for turnovers. If I'm not mistaken, Air Force came into the game as one of the best teams in the country in turnover margin. What happens? 5 fumbles. Go figure.........
