appreciate the UConn info. and it sounds like you are learning discipline as you go...as much as I hate losing, I've learned to try to minimize losses on the bad weeks and utilize patience early in the season to learn more about the team before making larger unit plays...hopefully it pays off again this year, but like they say we are only as good as our last wager...GL bud...

this game comes down to that I think both teams have good defenses and special teams but the Va. Tech offense is one dimensional (running)...could be a close game and I like getting over a field goal...yes, Va. Tech at home is tough but I think Nebraska is worthy of consideration...Comment -

I had no clue on these trends to be honest, but do remember last year's game being very competitive...I see this game as being sexiness (Clemson) vs. substance (B.C.)...most people don't like teams who focus on playing defense, running game and having good special teams, they want the teams with the stars who chuck it around the field...I can't get it out of my mind the mistakes Clemson made last week in their game against Georgia Tech and feel they can match-up well on Saturday...

man, I think Thursday's game (like last Thursday's game) will be a great game to watch and not a great game to bet...I have noticed some issues with Miami's DL, but am extremely impressed with their WR's and QB Jacory Harris...Georgia Tech has three good RB's in Dwyer, Allen and Jones and a great WR in Thomas but I thought that Nesbitt got banged up in the second quarter last week and that's part of the reason he played so poorly the rest of the game...can't recommend a play on either team but it should be an exciting game...Comment -

I dunno man...There has to be a better game on the board than this. We don't know anything Arkansas yet and we don't know which Georgia team will show up. Georgia is getting their best pass rusher back this week (Justin Houston) who was the MVP of spring camp and will have Arkansas out-talented at just about everywhere except for one little position that Ginger Joe is holding down. have you watched Georgia play the last two weeks?...have you watched Joe Cox throw?...do you notice Richard Samuel not running well, and Caleb King is questionable?...do you also notice that Georgia can't seem to stop the pass nor the run?...now they go on the road to play a team who I think is very comprable to them in terms of talent (with Mallet being the much better QB) and they have one major playmaker in A.J. Green...with their defense will that be enough to keep up with Arkansas in this one?...tough game yes, coin flip no...yes, they get a DL guy back, but they also lost their left tackle last week, which is right where South Carolina ran the corner blitz knocking the crap out of Joe Cox...
also have you noticed that this line opened Arkansas +2 (which I picked up at bookmaker at open) and is now -1.5?...you aren't watching what I'm watching, that's ok you are entitled to your opinion but I disagree completely with your analysis...Comment -
I saw where it opened as a pick. I've watched them every play and they looked terrible at times, but showed some explosiveness on offense at times too. If I had to choose a side, it'd be Arkansas to be honest with you. The SC game was a donkey game with tons of flukey plays from both teams. Considering they were on the field for 83 plays, the defense didn't play that bad. They had to have been gased. They didn't look all that bad against a good OSU offense. Georgia's offense and special teams basically gave SC 23 points. The LT is the same one they were missing from last season and there aren't many tackles in college football that are going to be able to pick up that blitz. Honestly, that's probably just as much on Cox for not reading it. Either way, I enjoy your thread and wish you good luck. Just adding my 2 cents.Comment -

Pags, may be a silly question but thought I'd fire away anyway......when looking at your overall card of games, do you look at any trends? Or, do you just play each game on an individual basis?
For example, I believe you have 6 road dogs out of your 7 plays. Do you consider that before placing wagers on the card, or do you disregard that and view them as individual plays?

well Corvalis is no easy place to play and Mike Riley is a good coach (as both Rogers' brothers are good players), but I do think that Cincinnati is playing well and should be able to focus their defensive game plan around the two Rogers brothers...also feel that Pike should be able to have success vs. the OSU secondary...we will see come Saturday...GL pal...

to be honest with you I do look at trends when making plays but will never make a play based solely on trends...it did scare me that as I was shaping up this weeks card that I had so many road teams, as typically I like to have at least a couple of home teams, but as you stated I just try to pick the plays that I think will set me up to have success and this week it came out that way...BOL this week...Comment -

If I did every time I would be up pretty good right now. Lol. I just do it for fun and if I hit one then hey thatd be awesome cuz Id be rich, but if I dont, its only $5 I can compensate for with my straight wagers.
