Was Clemson trying not to cover?
Let me preface this by saying I had no money on the game.

Clemson is up 6 with 45 seconds to go. It's 4th down on Auburn's 20 yard line. It would have been a 40 yard FG give or take to make it a two possession game and put it out of reach.

Instead of kicking it on 4th and 4, Clemson runs it up the middle and gets stuffed to turn it over on downs. Auburn ends up driving down to the Clemson 40 and gets to cracks at the end zone on the final 10 seconds.

    WTF was Clemson doing there?

I'm not usually a conspiracy guy but it made no sense.

Kick a 35 yard FG to ice it and go up 9 points or call a very vanilla running play up the middle on 4th and 4 and turn it over with the possibility of losing?

Auburn literally had two throws into the end zone that their WRs had their finger tips on. Why even give them that chance?

If it was the national championship and Clemson was playing Bama or Ohio State, do you think they would have kicked the 35 yard FG to win the national championship or do you think they would call a run up the middle on 4th and 4 to give the other team life?

They know, Ive heard players from different sports say they do in sports like football. They hear it all week, but since this was the first game theyve known the spread all summer.

A blocked FG returned for a TD is possible and the worse scenario. It's not a bad decision to try to go for it...

CFB is rigged, but Dabo is dumb enough to do that. They could have lost. The guy brings in talent, but his brain lacks it.

They kicked two field goals earlier, why not go for it then. Those could have been blocked and returned also.

They have a better chance of fumbling the ball on a run. Dumb decision.

Why not go for the dagger FG? A chip shot really. Instead you give the other team a chance. Much better chance than a blocked kick for a TD. Dabo is clueless. They should be faded all year. Cuse will beat them.

yeah theres just no way these teams dont look at vegas to see what they are ranked and what the spread is of their own game.. theres no way in hell, they have to know.. i can see the coach motivating his team in the locker room saying "vegas has us at a fukkin +12 underdog, everyone is already counting us out now get your ass's out there and prove vegas wrong!"

I know there's no Vegas talk but I do feel bad for those kids because they get caught in the middle of another game going on in their game... and they're still just kids.

Dabo knew what the fuk he was doing. I couldn't believe it when I saw it. Made no sense! That was proof that it's rigged.

Clemson -7 was the last leg of my parlay. A pretty nice parlay I might say. WTF! First they miss an extra point which would have put them up 20-3..... they are up 19-3 in the 4th Q. Then they allow the Auburn comeback. Then they don't kick the field goal! WTF!

Both those coaching staffs are dumb focks. Malzan is an Offensive artist. He is no OC. He designs plays to look and fell pleasant to the eyes. They have less then 2 minutes in the game, have 80 yards to go , and Malzonk is running play action to two backs before he passes the ball. Bo knows! Bo was shaking his head on the sideline. He was thinking WTF is this guy doing changing QB's every other play. DaBozo has been a slack jaw retard every game of his life. The quality of CFB is a joke. And for sure some of these games are FIXED!

another college educated player not falling downing bounds to run another 30 seconds off the clock but leaves Auburn with 50 seconds left to score. Auburn passing up 2 makable fg to pull within 7 with plenty of time on the clock

                                  ????

There are better odds of you losing the game by not kicking it.

Come on....Out of every college football game played since Thursday, how many FGs were kicked? How many were blocked and returned for a TD? I think it happened.

Don't be ridiculous. If it was such a gamble to kick a FG, teams wouldn't do it.

Hell, Clemson was throwing incomplete passes on second down with two minutes left. Odds are greater that they get sacked and fumble or throw an interception than there are of them having a kick blocked and returned for s TD.

So if it was a tie game would have Clemson not kicked and played for overtime bc they were in fear of losing on a block and return? Lol. Get out of here.

Same situation in the FSU/Ole Miss game....only FSU just needed a yard. What did they do? Kick it to go up two scores.

                                    It's a no brainer.
