two top tier defenses. Michigan with back to back shutouts. michigan offense struggles. i don't understand how Michigan is favored by a touchdown. i think northwestern has better offense going into the game. tough game to call. I'd stay away

Not much margin for error taking UM and under.

Yep, especially in college ball... all it takes is a missed assignment, pick six, kick return etc. and you're holding your breath for the rest of the game. It wouldn't be a surprise if it stayed under, but the number doesn't give you a lot of leeway. I personally like NW and the points. Make Michigan earn it with a double digit victory (eight or nine points not a high probability victory margin).

Guys, my model has this game coming in at Michigan 13-6. A 19 point total!!! Here's where variance comes into play. The Wolverines have just pitched back to back shutouts. It came against a road-weary BYU team and a slipshod Maryland squad. Northwestern is fresh off a goose- egg of their own (over Minny.) Clearly we have 2 really good defenses.....but sometimes a good defense sets up the offense by giving them good field position, turnovers, etc. Variance, boys--play the OVER.

One thing I've learned after wagering for the last 8 years...if you see a low total like this, you HAVE TO auto bet the under.

That's a sizable jump in a short amount of time. I don't know of any key injuries for the Cats. There must be some sharp late money on Michigan.
