This bowl season proved to me how good Florida St is.
Clemson beating Ohio St. (although I didn't think OSU was very good). Did the SEC prove anything during the bowl season? Oklahoma dominated Bama. LSU wins by 7 over Iowa. Yes I know Mettenberger was out and should have won by 14. Duke should have beat A&M. Auburn schedule was weak vs the SEC this year to add to it. Add the bowl wins: Mizzou, Ole Miss, South Carolina. I don't care. Game MAY be close for the first half. I don't see how Florida St. doesn't win by at least 2 scores even more. Someone talk me out of this because I think its a no brainer.

If you want to talk about who beat who this year and in the bowls, FSU's SOS ranked 63rd via Sagarin. Auburn's SOS was 20th. You can look at virtually any other resource and find similar results. It's beyond stupid to suggest Auburn's just been coasting, while FSU proved themselves to be legit with their schedule.

Now how that will play out in the title game? I could make arguments for both sides to win SU. However, I certainly won't be laying -10 against a 12-1 Tigers team that ranks 4th in F/+ rating. That's just crazy.

has florida state faced a decent defense all year???? I'm not saying auburns defense is great but itll be the best florida state has seen all year. auburn is gonna score points i have no doubt whether they can outscore florida state not sure. getting 10 is a joke here. from a team that hasnt beaten anyone all year! at least i know auburn beat a good not great bama team and played mizzou a&m, Georgia, etc.

Both commenters. I agree Florida St. hasn't played the best of schedules this year.

Bama11braves: Auburn givig up 42 Mizzou, 38 to Georgia, 35 to LSU. speaks to me

suicidekings: I agree with your points I do not think Florida St played great teams this year. what jumped out at me was the Clemson game. Auburn- I didn't think they played anyone good on the road besides LSU on the road and they lost. Auburn loses to Bama if its at Bama.

The biggest thing that sticks out to me is A&M 52 Duke 48. Florida St 45 Duke 7

That's nuts. Florida's and Clemson's defenses are both significantly better than Auburn's.

How do you figure Georgia's a good team? Georgia lost to a team that Florida State beat by 37 at the same venue. Your argument seems to be internally inconsistent.

I think FSU jumped all over Clemson in part because the Tigers didn't give Winston the respect he deserved to start that game. They didn't expect that level of play and were reeling all game trying to adjust. The problem with using Clemson as a qualifier is that they also had a pretty weak schedule (53rd) and their bowl game was against Ohio State, who showed an atrocious lack of defense at times this season even while playing their soft schedule (57th). I think both Clemson and Ohio State were overrated, so them playing out a close game doesn't really say all that much beyond FSU beating a team that may not be as good as people think.

For road games, I would call a win at College Station fairly impressive considering this team was still very much a work in progress when they played in mid October.

I haven't picked a side in this game but I'm just not really a believer in FSU being able to dominate Auburn here. At least not such that they deserve to be a double digit favourite.

Auburn is the luckiest team in NCAAF history. With the amount of points they give up and a lack of a passing game, what will happen when Florida State jumps out to a 14+ point lead?

I thought this Florida State team was over rated as well. At the end of the day, even the best teams play a bad game against mediocre opponents, but this Florida State team dominated all year long.

Auburn should not be in this game. Do you know how many extremely lucky and impossible plays it took for them to get here? By betting on auburn, you're basically wagering your money on the hope that another miracle falls from the sky, which I don't think is happening.

Florida State will score 40+ tonight, that's almost guaranteed. So, do people really see Auburn scoring 30+? I say no chance.

The public, just as they did last year, will be licking their chops at a chance to wager on the #2 ranked team in the country at such a generous price.

Also, I expect Winston to break some passing records tonight against this weak Auburn secondary.

                                      Florida State by 24+.

The spread jumping to -10.5 is baiting people to take Auburn IMO. I'm laying the chalk.
