UGA Loses Half Of It's Starting Secondary.
Georgia has lost half of it's starting defensive secondary. The team announced that defensive backs Josh Harvey-Clemons and Sheldon Dawson will not play in the game. the usual reason was quoted. Harvey-Clemons i not play against Clemson for testing positive to pot.

This can only hurt a Georgia team that was not very good on defense to begin with. Nebraska is looking pretty good now, especially at +9 and +280 ML. I do not think that Pelini can screw this game up.

This woulda been timely had it been posted on Monday afternoon.

Georgia's secondary will be without two key pieces in the Jan. 1 TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl, as the school announced on Monday that defensive backs Josh Harvey-Clemons and Sheldon Dawson will not participate in the game.

Unless Richt planned to use those two guys in the front seven come game day....what the hell does it matter.

Nebraska ain't going to beat the Dawgs with their passing attack.

I'm all over Georgia in this one even with a second team quarterback.

I got them at -9 and would take them up to -14. My story and I'm sticking with it.

Even though I think Pelini is a clown, I like Nebraska plus the nine (as well as the +280) in this one.

whats the big deal? its not as if the line changed 2 points off the news release. its still good news that most didnt know about. offensive players are typically the top news headlines.

You're a newcomer... you have no clue as to the history of users on this site... and anyone who doesn't make a point of at least checking ESPN, hasn't done much handicapping.

im not - i was dexter before this. couldnt disagree more with checking espn (the most public sports site there is).

tell me you check into local tweets, rotoworld etc and that would impress me....im not big into over analyzing games anyway during the season. the bulk of my stuff is done preseason for my larger bets.

i guess you 2 have a beef i wasnt aware of. that must suck to constantly have to bicker each day with someone. has to take away from your focus.

I remember you as Dexter... pretty good basaballa handicapper from what I can recall. BigDaddy has conflicts with quite a few users on here who know what they're doing. Most of us can (and do) admit when we've made a mistake, and we'll post as much on this site. This clown won't... but there's much more to it than that.

As far as my methods of handicapping... I'm not here to impress anyone... and I could care less about blowing smoke up anyone's ass. My style of play isn't for everyone... and that's cool. But, don't try to impress me with betting percentages, because I could give a flying fukk. With me, it's all about the money... percentages be damned.

Anyway, seeing as you're the user formerly known as Dexter, I respect your abilities when it comes to totals. While we invest in sports from entirely different spectrums, I do believe that you know your stuff.

                      Good luck to you...

nba and nfl ive actually been the most consistent. lost in mlb the last 2 seasons, but still way up the last 3 due to my 2011 which i doubt i'll ever duplicate. one of those seasons where i was really good and lucky.

i preach the same shit....%'s are for touts. for me, its all about weighted plays which i can see isnt your style. i can go 1-10u and on occasion up to 15-20u. i bumped down my unit size before football started (trying to be more responsible since im getting married in june). So i do have quite a few 10-20u plays in the bowls (would have been 5-10x last season), but ive had these plays pre-determined for months as the matchups dont matter to me. im completely about the situational angles this bowl season. last year i broke down the players/teams etc and i lost all my regular season profits and then some. whatever works for a specific person is the best way to go about this. there is no right or wrong imo. i work in the hedge fund industry and am privy to methods of algo style portfolio managers. they backtest their strategies before they begin trading and i kind of do the same in the preseason. im more pen to paper but i had some help this past NBA season from a really savy math guy who helped me collect historical data and backtest a few angles.

GL as well....i see your having a nice 2013. Keep up the good work.

                              Harvey-Clemons was, Clawson wasn't.

I'd consider it to be just one seeing as Clawson only started the final game of the season... and that was against the pass-happy attack of Georgia Tech... but that's just me.
