I am a SC fan and I don't think it will be a blowout. I do like our chances at home. If SC controls the ball and has minimal turnovers they win. Home court advantage huge deal to SC. Sad part about this though is if FSU goes to the NC, Clemson still gets a BCS bid (orange bowl)even if they lose to SC and the gamecocks get stuck in the non-BCS bowl. Sure..makes sense.

I agree. No ACC team should ever get to play in any BCS bowl , let alone the national title.

And yet there is a wacky scenario where Clemson beats South Carolina, Mizzou loses to Tex AM, South Carolina beats Auburn/Alabama winner, Ohio State loses to Mich State and we have an all ACC National Championship.

Problem is you are basing Clemson's offensive performance off horrible defenses. The one team they played that actually had a defense was FSU...and we know the outcome. SC has the second best defense that Clemson will play on their schedule this year. It plays to SC's advantage because when Clemson gets used to running up and down the field on weak defenses and they get punched in the mouth by a physical d, they have issues. Hence, the reason they have lost to SC the last 4 years but yet have been setting offensive records while playing in the ACC.

Clemson has top 15 recruiting classes every year. You think the players suddenly get worse just because they go to an ACC school? Sure the SEC has a ton of advantages. More money = better coaches, better training, etc. But this is still a top 10 team. Every team has some weaknesses. That being said, it doesn't mean they can't get blown out. A lot is riding on a few players. However, if South Carolina won 100-0 this weekend, Florida State would still go to the championship game. If you don't get that you really should not be betting.

Dont forget Clemson beat UGA on opening weekend and moved the ball at will.

This was before UGA's season was lost to injury and they werent thinking Natl Champ.

I can't get over the miserable coaching SC had against UF. Virtually no passing threat that game and still couldn't stop the run. I know Clemson is a passing team, but I'm down on SC's D right now and would like to take Clemson.

I still think SC covers based mainly on strength of schedule....... Clemson played two good teams this year; FSU and GA ....... GA could have gone either way...

Agreed, Dylan Thompson has played less than 2 hours the entire season........ what does a back up QB have to do with the largest game on the schedule when the starting QB is healthy and has never lost at home?
