#565I won a lot more games than I lost but I'm down for the day because of one fukking team. Kensucky.
I had 2 four teamers and a 5 teamer, huge parlays riding on them. Would have been up huge. But now I'm down for the day.
I'm also on UGA who's losing but If LSU and Northwestern covers, I'll be up a little after a wild ride.

#568Northwestern leading comfortably to end the half and in 3 plays, Cal just scored with 22 seconds on the clock. I'll probably push on the 1st half bet now?
Then at the same time. LSU fumbles the handoff and TCU gets the ball back and score a TD. Muthurfukker. Shit has gone stale.Comment -

#569Let me tell you, I'm a huge Texas fan and I went big on NMSU +44. Thought it was Ez money after the 1st quarter. Hell it was still going to cover until Texas FOURTH string RB scores on a 50 yard TD run with the game far out of reach, and ends up breaking the entire school record for total yards of offense...

#571That must have been one unreal 2nd half offensive show? I can't remember the last time I've seen a team rack up so many yards in such a long stretch. Every play was like at least 15 yards and many were like 30, 40, 50 yard romps. Some of the TDs were being described as amazing, jumping over peeps, spin moves, playstation like. I hope they show it again this week.

#576Texas is one of my favorite teams. I'm here in Houston and a bunch of friends, some family played there. I'm also a Florida fan (played there) and both teams seemed to go to shit at the same time the past few years. Both offenses are so unpredictable. I've faded them both to some nice profits but will have to wait and see what UT's offense will become.
Today was impressive.
Yeah I watched it... weird thing is it's not like Texas was grinding out the yards and TDs on methodical drives... NMSU would get stops here and there but then would give up a big play right after that for like 50 yards. And it just kept happening OVER and OVER again. UT had their way with them and then put in 2nd stringers and still racked up more big plays while the defense was stingy as hell. UT's running back depth this year is unreal even the 4th stringer Overstreet looks pretty legit and the o-line is looking a lot better than last year. We'll see how they do in conference competition but I actually don't think Texas is overrated this year. I put 2 units down on Texas futures over 9.5 wins at -130. I might just be a homer but I think UT is actually underrated after underachieving past 3 years in a row, I could see them getting 11 wins this year maybe even running the table since they are returning 19 starters. Just my 2 cents who knows though, injuries can derail any season.Comment -

#578I've been going back and forth on this game. So many questions. Fade or tail Bridgewater? Will he come out flat with so much expectations or will he light it up early? Ohio should have a good offense but Charlie Strong is a defensive guru. I could easily see him slowing this team down, which makes the over/under a question mark.
My gut tells me UL first half... Ohio 2nd half. That was UL's MO last year. They would get out to huge leads and hang on for dear life last year. Strong also isn't one to run up the score BUT will he be forced too trying to get votes for a title run?
I wouldn't put a bunch of money on this one. I'm going to go with UL first half -12 very small and wait for the 2nd half. Probably take Ohio 2nd half.

#579What am I missing? How/why is Colorado State only a slight fave? This line is off and should be the play of the day.
Jim McElwain is in his 2nd season as coach of the Rams. I did mention that I like 2nd year coaches? The team was young but got better as the season progressed. CSU has a good offensive line, quality running backs going against a very young/poor Colorado LB crew. QB is questionable but who cares when your Oline can protect you and you have 3 backs that can gash the defense. The receivers are green but with a good line and RBs, it makes a QB and his receivers look much better than they really are. Colorado has depth issues on both sides of the ball but with poor LB's I expect guys like Crockett Gillmore and Kivon Cartwright to light them up in the middle of the field as a compliment to the running game.
Colorado is inexperienced almost everywhere including coaching. They were a hot mess last year. Athletic director fired, coach fired, quarterback arrested, a bunch of players left. How does a new coach come in and get any continuity with that mess. Not this quickly. Colorado couldn't beat State last year. Why would they this year? CU's offensive line is one of the worst in CFB. Powell is a good RB and Wood the QB is good but if you have a sucky line, good luck. They have a good receiving corps but how are you going to get them the ball when you're on your back?
I like CSU in this one fairly easily...

#580Well, if you look at some of their 1st halves last year, it was about 50/50.
Up in 6 games, tied in 1 and down in 6.
In home games they were up 5 and down 2
In away games they were tied 1 time, and down in the other 4.
Neutral site they were up 1 time.
You are right though, who knows who comes out in the 1st half.
+14 points UK
+11 points Missouri St
+19 points UNC
0 points FIU
-5 points So. Miss
-4 points Pitt
+11 points USF
-3 points Cincy
+13 points Temple
-18 points Cuse
-10 points UCONN
-11 points Rutgers
+14 points Florida
home vs UK up 22-7 @ half / Won 32-14
home vs Missouri St up 18-7 @ half / Won 35-7 home vs UNC up 26-7 @ half / Won 39-34
@ FIU tied 14-14 @ half / Won 28-21
@ So. Miss down 17-12 @ half / Won 21-17
@ Pitt down 21-17 @ half / Won 45-35
home vs USF up 14-3 @ half / Won 27-25
home vs Cincy down 17-14 @ half / Won 34-31 OT
home vs Temple up 31-17 @ half / Won 45-17
@ Cuse down 31-13 @ half / Lost 45-26
home vs UCONN down 10-0 @ half / Lost 23-20 OT
@ Rutgers down 14-3 @ half / Won 20-17
vs Florida (Sugar Bowl) up 24-10 @ half / Won 33-23
It looks clear to take Ohio +21 and theoretically the under 60 if you can get it.
The 1st if probably a wash, but +12.5 Ohio looks slightly better.
That's just what the numbers tell me.Comment -

I try to balance everything out which tends to be fairly even in the end. I'll sometimes post/take double digit dog MLs and a few juicy faves from time to time but try to balance my picks overall.
I think Colorado bringing back a bunch of folks may be a strength for CSU. LOL. Nothing like bringing back a bunch of guys that know how to lose.

#586After watching that 1st half, I can't put any faith in their offense. As long as Bridgewater plays into the middle of the 4th and the 2nd string defense isn't out there for UL, I don't see much slacking off and I can see UL scoring 21 and Ohio struggling to find the end-zone, much less 10 total points, which puts it @ -11.
I'll probably do the same and do the live betting. The under with live betting was nice, and since Charlie Strong doesn't like to run up the score or press, they just sat on that last possession, which was what I was hoping.
Good luck, I might just continue with live betting, but I'll believe UL +10 for 2nd is going to take it.

#590I'm on FSU -10 x1 and having a hard time talking myself out of bumping that up to x2-3. I think Jameis Winston is going to make a big splash tonight in his debut, as a big upgrade over anyone else FSU has had under center for the last few years. Two quality RBs, 4/5 returning O-Linemen, and a big pool of WRs make for a pretty formidable offense, and I just don't see how Pittsburgh can possibly keep up for 60 minutes with so much new and unproven personnel.
Pitt is projected to be around 40th in F/+ going into this season, and I think that's a bit generous.Comment -

I'm getting good reports of a lot of FSU fans in town. FSU's defense needs to protect the long ball and shut down Pitt's tight ends. That said, Pitt played ND to 3 OT's, beat VT worse than FSU did, blew out Rutgers and USF and lost to UL by only a TD. This game may be a sweat out. I'm hopeing FSU bashes the smaller Pitt Dline with runs. I'm hoping Pitt's defense is worn out in the 2nd half as I may take a large FSU 2nd half too.
I'm also adding this play right now as I think the line is going to go up the next few days...

I'm a UF homer but I'm realistic about the pluses and minuses of the team. I usually bet against UF more than I play but this line is very off. UF's oline and dline is vastly better than Miami's. Miami's strength is running the ball but UF's defense is stout against it. Miami's passing game is a work in progress IMO and UF's defensive backs are probably the best in the business. UF's defense is under the radar for some reason but let me tell you it is unreal. Teams are going to have a hard time moving the ball against this defense.
The questions are always around UF's offense. You are going to see a grind it out smash you in the face running game, mixed with pass sets. This game will not be close. UF by 20+. You heard it here first.Comment -
